Review Time
I settled my finance but they still owed me money due to a DD going out in between settling the agreement and final settlement letter which I was fine with assuming it would be refunded promptly. However after a couple of weeks I had not heard anything so I requested a refund - now 4th time of asking still no refund ! If it was the other way round and I was late with a payment they would be threatening me with default notices and hounding me with a barrage of phone calls. Bunch of pirates.
I am absolutely fizzing with this company. They have taken £200 out of my account for my old car insurance policy for a car I haven’t had for 6 months. I called and cancelled and cancelled the direct debit. HOWEVER unfortunately my new car insurers also use Close Brothers finance so they started taking the money from my new direct debit!!! It’s theft. Don’t go anywhere near them if you can avoid it!!! The best bit is they charged an extra £25 fee for it bouncing (on a direct debit I didn’t set up). The nerve. I will NEVER use this company again. The £25 fee is already exorbitant.
What a different experience. From start to end of my agreement with close brothers finance was easy and smooth.I would certainly use them again.I have already recommended close to 5 other people looking to finance a vehicle. Big thumbs up.
