I have been charged for AUD 78.18

I have been charged for AUD 78.17, I have no receipt, no invoice, nothing, I am sure I got something for AUD1 and now this. I would appreciate a refund as I have not used whatever it is I have been charged for. I have no idea how to cancel this as I don’t have anything to log into. I find this very untrustworthy and quite frankly feel like I have been scammed, I have tried to e-mail but apparently e-mail address is not recognised, I am really angry and feel like money has been stolen from me!!!Would appreciate a quick reply before I take this further

CANCEL MY ACCOUNT BEFORE I FINISHED MY TRIAL COURSE

After trying to cancel my 10 days trial course several times to avoid the charge of $49 or whatever the price is, I finally wasn't able to do it. Trying to look for help on the website and Google, I just found all these horrible comments about how they had the same problem. My trial course finishes on Monday 16th March so please don't say I didn't read that this is a TEN days trail course and then you will charge for it because I really know it already. So please cancel my account and fix your website. As you say you will charge after 10 days you must also say you don't have any option to cancel your account.I don't want to waste my time asking for my money back after saying this.

Unable to cancel - it is a scam

I have sent several emails asking to cancel, in accordance with their instructions. I keep getting automatic replies, asking me for the same information I have already sent. Do not touch this company with a barge pole - I wish I had never heard of them. You think you are buying something for $1 - then in tiny writing they trick you into a $49 per month subscription and make it impossible to cancel. They are crooks.Hilary Roberts.

I have no idea how to cancel this as I don’t have anything to log into. I find this very untrustworthy and quite frankly feel like I have been scammed, I have tried to e-mail but apparently e-mail address is not recognised, I am really angry and feel like money has been stolen from me and my dad!!!Would appreciate a quick reply before I take this further

I have just spent the better part of an hour trying to follow the instructions and cancel my membership. I have logged in multiple times! This is the worst possible scam. Your website is claiming anyone can cancel at any time, however this is not possible. After I went through all of the cancel screens, I was finally shown an error message that states: "The Subscription is handled by the subscription schedule and updating and any cancellation is not allowed...". After searching the internet, I read that some have had to cancel their credit cards. This is complete non-sense and a SCAM to say the least!!!

Totally scammed and so upset

I bought a standalone posing guide from them, and now I’m being charged and am stuck! I have now been charged 2 x $49 For a subscription that I did not subscribe to! They claim that I clicked a box when checking out for a $1 ten day free trial that turns into the subscription, but I am absolutely sure that I did not. I remember seeing the box and reading it carefully and thinking “NOPE, don’t want to get wrapped into that.” I’ve never even used their website, except to open the posing guide that I purchased through an email. Now when I try to login to their website to cancel my subscription, I can’t even get in, probably because I never even created an account. When I click the “forgot password” button with my email address, I never receive the promised email to reset my password. I never received a receipt or invoice for my purchase or the subscription, or any kind of notice that my “trial” that I supposedly signed up for was starting or ending. I am so upset and disappointed. I love to support other businesses, especially in the photography realm, but I feel so totally scammed! I feel like $100 was just stolen from me. like I said, I’ve never even signed into their site. I have talked to my bank and tried email and messaging Coles Classroom, but now I am just stuck waiting to resolve this and hopefully get a refund. How disappointing.EDIT TO ADD: They responded to my email and I am told a refund is being processed. They were pretty fast and responsive, so as long as they return my refund I am at least happy the issue is resolved.

As others have before, I didn’t opt for the one dollar trial, I can’t access my account, I can’t get a new password, I have emailed with 0 response. It is not worth the headache and frustration. Their booklet I purchased isn’t even worth it as it is 67 pages of talking in circles. Do not waste your money.

Cole's Classroom is a sleazy and non reputable company

I thought Cole's Classroom was a reputable business because they've been around so long. I've always heard great things about them in the past. But WOW their current marketing strategy to pull in new photographers is SUPER sneaky and sleazy. The end feeling you walk away with is that they totally just took advantage of you.I was targeted in a facbeook ad. They made an offer for an enticingly cheap course. I made the purchase. At checkout, they offered a last minute deal - much like candy at the register of a grocery store. The offer was something like - Pay $1, and get access to MORE free stuff. I don't recall adding this option on, but apparently I was billed for it. I was also then billed 10 days later for a $49 monthly subscription to Cole's Classroom. I later found out through their website's knowledge base that the $1 offer at checkout was a "10 day trial membership" and that after that time, I'd be billed a monthly subscription to their community. This was hidden in the fine print under the $1 offer.I followed their knowledge base article to unsubscribe so that I wouldn't be billed again in the future. The article instructed me to log into my account to cancel the subscription. When I tried to log in, I realized I couldn't - I had never created an account with them in the first place.I don't understand how I can be billed a monthly subscription to a community I never signed up with. I couldn't even find a new link to create a new account without being billed again. How is this legal???The fact that Cole's Classroom has a whole article explaining why I was billed the $49 means that they've gotten a lot of backlash from this in the past and they've published an article to reduce the number of email complaints they get about this exact same incident.Instead of taking the time to write a help article of how I was tricked into a monthly subscription service I didn't sign up for, wouldn't it be a better use of time to stop the practice that causes the backlash to begin with? It's such a shame. Cole's Classroom might actually have had really great content and been an excellent place to learn from. But because of the sleazy marketing strategy they currently practice, I'll never know. I'll never sign up for a Cole's Classroom course, pdf, or membership ever again. In addition to that, I'll continue to warn every photographer I know not to do business with this sleazy company. At this point I have contacted their customer support team and am still waiting to hear back.---------------An Update -It also looks like this company cheats their reviews on this platform. After writing my own, I scrolled back and saw all of the other negative reviews complaining about the exact same situation I'm currently in. There's a sudden influx of positive 5 star reviews around February 19th/20th 2020. Prior to 2/19 - 2/20, there were another round of awful 1 star reviews complaining about the same issue. The sudden influx of 5 star positive reviews in mid February look like an attempt to burry all the negative reviews. I'm shocked.

Still waiting for my refund of 2 x $49 ...

Still waiting for my refund of 2 x $49 ...Very-very disappointed and frustrated. I've been trying to contact them for weeks now but no response. I only purchased a $1 "No catch" deal for 1 credit download, but they were still charging me $49 per month for pro membership for two months now, which is almost $100 in total for literally NOTHING. As it turned out it was a 10 days trial as well which renews automatically, not considering that I haven't used my account neither have I received any bills just about my very first $1 charge. Additionally, the system does not allow you to cancel pro membership, only through their very poor customer service. Very very suspicious and tricky, they advertising their no catch deals without any refund opportunities. Be very very careful with them, once they get your bank details it is hard to make sure that they won't charge you the next month. Still waiting for their response about a possible refund and cancellation of my membership. I'm very disappointed, they seemed trustworthy.szabobcintia[at]gmail[dot]com

Business Details

  • Since 2014, our mission at Cole’s Classroom has been simple: to provide affordable, high-quality training for photographers at every stage of their journey—from brand-new beginners to seasoned professionals.

Regarding our Trustpilot reviews, we want to offer full clarity about our most popular program: Cole’s Classroom Pro. This monthly membership includes access to more than 28 in-depth courses, over 300 quick video tutorials, and 15 behind-the-scenes, on-location photo sessions, all for $49 per month.

To make joining risk-free, every new member begins with a 10-day free trial. This gives full access to the entire library so photographers can explore everything and decide—without pressure—whether the membership is right for them.

We’re committed to transparency. At the time of purchase, we clearly outline what’s included, how the trial works, and when it converts. We also make cancellation easy: there is a cancellation link on our product pages and support pages, and we send multiple reminder emails before any trial converts to a paid membership.

If you ever need help, our support team is available 7 days a week at support@colesclassroom.com.See more
