Review Time
My trial was over by less than a week and I didn't fully use the software yet was not permitted to get a refund. [Updated Jan 14] Copper has refunded the cost. I'm updating this review to 4 stars because I greatly appreciate that they followed up and remedied their process that initially declined a refund.
Easy to test drive. Very helpful people. Great tool. Super simple. Comprehensive enough, easy to learn. We switched from Salesforce.com, which was free for us as a foundation, but very cumbersome to use. Copper is - for us - much easier to use, and we can get much more done in a day.
Checked every box for my small business. Simple to set up and all the native integrations I need (RingCentral and MailChimp). Also very tight Chrome Extension for Gmail. But the biggest factor is their superior customer service. Friendly, responsive and knowledgeable. I signed on with a competitor (Nutshell) that I flailed with for 4 months. Copper has genuinely great customer service and tech support. A big thank you to Sean Jago for all his guidance. I'm thrilled with this choice for CRM.
I had been using Copper.com's product for several years and had been generally satisfied with the service. Recently, I inquired about canceling my account, but I wasn't ready to actually close it down. Unfortunately, without confirming my readiness, a person named Nicholas closed my account. This abrupt action has left me in a difficult position, as I'm now trying to get my account reactivated to access my data. The way Nicholas Sanchez, handled this situation is extremely disappointing. I need my account restored as soon as possible so I can retrieve my important data. This experience has greatly affected my trust in Copper.com, and I hope the company can rectify this situation quickly.
Update: Copper, to its credit, reached out to us and credited our account. We've updated our review to reflect the company's willingness to address our concern.Shady company. Stay away. We had a subscription with them, attempted to cancel, but still charged an annual fee. There was zero use of the account for over a year. We asked for a refund, and the company refused. There are plenty of other CRMs out there. Choose another one!
100% sure that I cancelled our subscription a year ago, which they make not easy. At the final stage it says 'your request for cancellation has been submitted' - I forgot afterwards. Copper continued to book for a year until I found out, €1000 gone.. Shame on me for not checking my creditcard often enough, but fraudulent way of working to begin with. If you consider this: don't. Plenty of good alternatives such as Asana, that offer you much more functionality.
My recent experience with Copper fell way short of my expectations. The system is quite limited, and often very very slow. The add in for marketing is way over sold. It is very limited, and difficult to manage. I also thought I had agreed to a quarterly program. The system reflected that in the account management section. I cancelled as required, received a cancellation confirmation email confirming the cancellation. In a few days I received another quarterly billing. I followed up we a message questioning the billing and requesting a correction. I was soon told nope your subscription is an annual subscription and closed the ticket. Rather than asking if there were issues with the system making any attempt to retain me as a client I was thrown under the bus instantly and back over multiple times. Copper gets an “F” in customer service. It is sad as they could be doing so much better. it’s really hard for me to write a negative review, but this one was earned. I hope they learn from this and improve.
