Costa Del Mar is a fraudulent company that doesn't honor warranty and customer loyalty. After several years of service, several parts of the frame began disintegrating and falling off the glasses. Costa claims this is not a defect in material or workmanship. I say it's both. As a result they lost my business forever. Sad that they are dishonest and deceitful in their practices.
I have been a loyal customer of this brand for nearly 30 years. Unfortunately, my latest pair broke within just two weeks of use. I still have a pair from 15 years ago that I use regularly. The new ones broke at the frame above the lens while I was simply cleaning them. The hinges no longer function properly, and the frames feel much cheaper and more fragile. I reached out to customer support, but they were unhelpful regarding their product. I will not purchase another pair, despite having owned over ten pairs in the past. I engage in a lot of outdoor activities and typically lose or damage them due to impact. This experience has soured my view. It's disappointing.
I highly advise against purchasing from this brand as they do not honor their warranty. My sunglasses developed an unexplained crack in the lens within three months. When I submitted a warranty claim, they informed me it wasn't covered. I will not be buying from them again, as the main reason for investing in premium sunglasses is the warranty.
I have a pair of glasses from this brand that I've barely used, and both have the same problem: the lenses have faded and I can't see anything. The quality is absolutely terrible. I received these as a gift in 2021, but now they no longer offer a lifetime warranty and want me to pay for a replacement. Why would I pay when I'm likely to face the same issue again? It's best to steer clear of this brand; their products are completely unreliable. No wonder they have such a strict warranty policy. 👎🏻💩
Wader glasses are quite disappointing because of their lack of quality and the absence of a lifetime warranty. I had to visit a different platform to share my thoughts, which reflects how much this brand has declined. It's best not to waste your time.
The online purchasing process has been the most frustrating of my life (I'm 58 years old). I tried to apply my vision insurance, but it was anything but simple. The site advertised free expedited shipping, yet I couldn't select it at checkout. The price for the glasses fluctuated several times. An engraving option was available, but it didn’t show up at checkout, leaving me uncertain. My cart total changed from $258 to $308 without explanation, and the numbers didn’t add up on the sales slip. After waiting another day, I found a free shirt offer, but couldn’t change the size. Plus, I could only apply my insurance to one item, making it impossible to use my benefits and nearly tripling the cost. I’ll contact customer support on Monday. I take sunglasses seriously and have been a loyal customer for 25 years. I hope this glitchy online experience doesn’t reflect the quality since the acquisition.
I genuinely enjoy the products. Their apparel is great and well-priced, and their sunglasses are durable. However, my concern lies with their customer service, particularly the Crew Points reward program. I've been ordering from them for at least two years and have enrolled multiple times, yet I can’t find where my points are. When I inquired today, they claimed I wasn't enrolled and couldn’t credit me for the substantial amount I've spent. This is unacceptable. The support team did nothing to resolve my issue. I’m reconsidering my future purchases despite my fondness for the products.
