Dents gloves: Mostly Imported Not made in England

Dents Wikipedia entry reads: .Heritage gloves are available in a handful of stores worldwide with a luxury price tag and should not be confused with the imported gloves sold in most stores..Dents advertising reads:.Involving as many as 32 stages and taking up to eight hours to make, each hand cut, handstitched pair of gloves gets the same VIP treatment.When I questioned Dents as to why my gloves had a label saying "Made in Poland" the girl who answered the phone couldn’t wait to say “Made in the England" only applies to our heritage range”..Advertising standards for the UK reads:.Marketing communications must not mislead the consumer by omitting material information. They must not mislead by hiding material information or presenting it in an unclear, unintelligible, ambiguous or untimely manner..I bought 2 pair of Dents “stylish, quality gloves” and the “Scottish cashmere lining in my Polish Gloves ” fell apart with only light use (I am 74).I called them and the response to the question Your advertising claims the gloves would last for many years was “that’s only the leather part not the cashmere linings”.It reminded me of a Morecombe & wise Christmas show when they did a sketch as follows: Ernie “I have just bought a Lada Sports car that’s faster than a Porch 911 0 to 60 Eric’s reply “yes but only once” Morecombe and Wise were joking but sadly Dents are not.JW

Poor quality, nonexistent customer service

Gloves looked good and fit reasonably well but the first time I wore them in a light rain dye leeched out and stained my hands and coat. I contacted customer service to ask if this was expected and never received a response. Pretty disappointed. These were not cheap gloves and now they are destined for the bin.

Dents pretend they are in Australia

Dents pretend they have an Australian website and are an Australian based business. DENTS LIE!! I bought gloves thinking I could return them within Australia. Dents lied about where they are based! The gloves were TOO SMALL for me and Dents said I had to pay for postage to the UK to return them. Dents are a LYING RIP-OFF and I will never buy from them again!!!

Fast shipping. Beautiful gloves. Sadly not made in GB

I think the reviews on here are a tad unfair and no doubt any slow delivery times are likely due to the impact of coronavirus on manufacturing (you will see later in this review).Ordered the gloves less than 48 hours ago and have them in my kitchen as we speak. Beautifully packaged, beautifully made, they look and feel exquisite. The only pitfall...?Made in China. Disappointing, but then I didnt buy them assuming they were specifically British craftsmanship. However it does make me feel a tad guilty about the Scottish sheepskin businesses I passed by for Dents. These are not cheap gloves, they should be made in Britain.. and for this they lose a star. But otherwise no complaints over the service.

What are we paying for?

Ordered gloves and was told they would be sent with express delivery and arrive on Tuesday. The day they were meant to arrive, I get an email saying there was an error with the website and my order is actually out of stock. Looking on the website now... it still says they are available. Very poor considering the price they are asking you to pay for their product.

Worst customer service I have ever received…

Worst customer service I have received in a long time.Extremely long shipping time (3 weeks to deliver to Denmark). Ordered two pairs to test the size and was explicitly rest assured that exchanging the second pair was "free of charge". Following up on the same email in which I had asked about the exchange, I am then told that the "free exchange" was referring to so called "administration costs" and that shipping was at the customers own expense. Politely asking what was meant by this administration costs, I was told it referred to the "handling of exchange but not the postage costs". Referring to "free exchange" as this administration cost rather than postage costs (which should be the only cost relevant!) and even telling me when specifically asking about costs of exchanging is borderline criminal. Will NEVER recommend this to anyone!

Poor quality materials

Beautiful feeling gloves... but only for a short while. I bought their top of the line peccary gloves - the Hampton. They've had very little use and have been treated very gently, but the lining is already falling apart. The quality is not worth the price tag of £200+. Can't recommend them - especially if you're going to use them a lot (I didn't and they're still shot).

Good gloves but use a different seller.

Stock levels a bit shocking given the size of Dents, no problems with the order other than the delivery time was a tad slow. Perhaps head on down to your local high street Dents stockist as a first call, there’s no advantage price wise to buying direct. For me the email offering discounted gloves on the heals of my order was a marketing fail.Overall the Dents make a better wholesaler than retailer. But the gloves from a third party seller.

Security Tags still attached on delivery beware

First pair of gloves delivered were faulty returned and a new pair delivered this time with a massive Security Tag still attached what an Embarrassment Was offered a meagre £6 credit for all my troublesWould never trust them again after this disastrous experience

Delivery is very bad....

I bought a pair of leather gloves wich costed around €100. I ordered them and at the checkout I selected the regular delivery methode wich said 6-8 Days and was around €10. I placed the order on the 5th of October and guess what....Its the 21th of october and stil got nothing.... very disappointing, I live in the Netherlands wich is around a 7-8Hour DRIVE to the UK. And they need more then 2 Weeks to deliver a simple package. The shipping is just terrible, products ordered from china are even faster than this...
