The pcs are built well but have no common sense the most expensive pc had a reverse motherboard so when using an AIO it is nearly impossible to fit a new rtx 30 series card and I couldnt fit in my rtx 3090 I just bought even though they said the pc would be upgradable. Their only solution would be to send it back to pay shipping and handling to get a new case. This company who builds pcs for years has no common sense on how to build a correct pc. Do not buy
I got the digital storm Lynx level 3 and it a great custom build pc and the performance is very good and the spec inside the pc was great for the deal also they have a great customer service team but just if they can work on building the pc faster because had to wait a month for them to assemble the pc and ship it.
They took a month and a half to build the computer. It finally arrived, and they put in the wrong version of the motherboard, without onboard WiFi, and the power supply had a large dent in it. I immediately packed it up and shipped it back. It took a full month just to replace the power supply and motherboard and send it back! They didn't bother swapping out the instruction booklet for the motherboard even. It worked for one evening. The next morning I try to start it, and it won't even power on! Additionally, some of the components, such as the Ram came marked up, as if they had been used prior, or they were just sloppy and scratched them up during installation.Definitely do not order from these guys!
I've had a great experience with digital storm I got a Bolt X with an AMD 3900x, Geforce 1660 TI, with water cooling. I don't know what happened to all the good reviews or why Trustpilot decided to remove them. But I'm telling you now this is a good company their amazing with computer construction I'm a confirmed buyer and I approve digital storm and recommend it.
I recently made a purchase from DS. It took over 40 days for my order to arrive to me. When I contacted them and ask them for a status update I was given a copy and paste reply telling me that I agreed to this long turn around time... I never agreed to anything. I purchased a product/s from you. I agreed to nothing. Finally I got my order. The second I pressed the power button the fans started grinding and making horrible noise. LOUD GRINDY fans fresh out of the box. This is a sign of a faulty fan. How did this ever pass their quality check they claim to have? I actually know quite a bit about computer's. I have built my own more than once. I am very busy lately with my career and personal life, so I elected to have DS do the work for me...I figured well let me go in and fix/ disable these fans. I did so.... I wish that was as bad as it got but it was not. As I dug into the machine I found stripped screws, some manhandled on while their counterpart was so loose I could unscrew it by hand! Some of the computer's parts were uneven, as in not fitted on properly. Chasis fan was wobbly and shocker grindy. It was there own cheap fan with their stupid logo on it... Charging customer above full price for a fan because you want to be cool and stamp a logo on a cheap one! Shame on you. Also had issues where the GPU was running HOT out of the BOX. Well break the equipment out of the toolbox...and behold! There was voltage issue it was not properly installed / poor connection to the power supply! I ended up pulling the entire product/s apart and no joke rebuilding them on the spot. FRESH OUT OF THE BOX. How's that for customer service? Once I built them properly they worked just find everything within acceptable range...and quietly running. When we pay for something like this...we pay a mark up in price to account for the labor. I Had to do my own labor. I spent over 2 weeks talking to them about this. They forwarded me to some one...Then forwarded me again. I laid it all out for them and then never heard back. I told them flat out I want the cost of labor refunded to me or I am going to the BBB. Been a week as of today and not a word back from them. Everyone I talk to now knows not to throw their money away on a DS purchase. They clearly hire off the street and have zero idea what they are doing. A first time builder can do a better job constructing a computer than what I was given. Thousand's of $'s wasted! Do not buy from them. I am personally hoping they go out of business and loose everything they have gained by ripping off hard working people like myself and the other's on this website. There was more wrong with my order as well...but sadly I am limited on time. To be frank I am sick and tired of dealing with DS and it is clear they are a take the money and run type of company. AVOID.
It took over a month for my computer to arrive. When it finally did, it was damaged and had issues. When I reached out to support I was told that they are basically too busy to help. I had to fix it myself. A manager got in touch with me and said he would look into it but never bothered calling me back. I will never return as a customer, nor will I ever recommend a product from Digital Storm - not even my worst enemy.
Plagiarism. It was time for a new laptop. I’m a gamer as well as an end user of many softwares including CAD and CGI. My Toshiba’s been great but the NVIDIA was getting too old for the newer games and softwares. And, Toshiba’s relationship with NVIDIA is on and off. By this time it was off. Time to shop a different brand. And, to practice what I preach, an American brand was the way to go. I found one. Digital Storm (DS). I ordered the “HARKER” model. What a masculine name with seemingly great components. Their Website allowed me to customize it the way I wanted as well. This is my config: “Chassis Model: Digital Storm Harker 17.3 Inch Laptop (Model: S: 9172) Display: NVIDIA G-Sync - 17.3 Inch (1920 x 1080) IPS LED-Backlit Display (Anti-glare) Screen Calibration: Custom Color Calibration Monitor Profile by Professional Sensor ToolProcessor: Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2 GHz (Codename Kaby Lake) (Unlocked CPU) (Quad Core)Memory: 32GB DDR4 2400MHz; Storage Drive 1: SSD - 2TB Samsung 850 PROStorage Drive 2: Hard Disk - 1TB 7200RPM (SATA 3 GB/s)Wireless Card: Killer Dual Band Wireless-AC 1535 + Bluetooth (M.2 Socket)Graphics Card(s): GeForce GTX 1080 8GB (Desktop Class) (VR Ready) (NVIDIA G-Sync)Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Professional (64-Bit Edition)”The cost: $5,077.29.Additionally, they’re located close enough to my work environment so I picked it up when it was ready. This was great. I get to see behind the wizard’s curtain where all the magic happened. Normally consumers don’t get this opportunity but I was looking forward to this. I was also looking forward to the heavy-duty, HD quality gaming experience. I could finally use all the max graphic and memory settings with no frame rate concerns. Wow it even looked fast before the first startup. So confident was I about DS, that I already gifted away my 2013, $2,373.79, Toshiba Qosmio X970 with its puny NVIDA GTX 670M 3GB. And, the Harker didn’t disappoint either. It was fast. I went from a Geo Metro, to a Bugatti Veyron. That is, till it crashed within the first few days. Then, the tech support. By the way, the best tech support is the one you never have to use. Hence the purpose of configuring and paying what I did. This time my strategy didn’t work. While dealing with DS to get this machine right, I found out this isn’t even their Laptop. It’s a Sager, NP9172. DS takes this and re-sells it as their own. That is, after they incompetently configure it. How did I find out about DS plagiarizing someone else’s work? When I needed a part DS had to admit it and gave me Sager’s tech support number.
Ordered a custom PC. My experience extends to roughly 30 years in computers. The worst part, which I still feel is the fact that the company - several people I talked to and complained were completely dismissive and basically that I am "stuck with a flawed system" for a lot of money. It's a very bad feeling. No integrity. This review is several months into owning the system.- I paid a premium, notably including the service largely of wiring: (a) in connecting an testing individual components to motherboard; (b) wiring regarding tying and arranging the physical cords logically and neatly to chassis.- Was delivered a unit that clearly was not thoroughly tested and the arrangement of cords was horrible and illogical. This was a modern, full-decked PC minus hard drives (that I was to migrate and install myself in a supposed high-quality bay for at least 4 HDs). Instead it was wired to connect only 2 HDs with the other SATA wasted and entangled, unreachable. Had to literally "unclip" the wiring I paid for.- Because I did not order a unit with hard drives installed does not mean that they can simply pass testing components (they could have tested and connected, which I believe strongly they did NOT ADEQUATELY (obvious with some of the problem I immediately encountered - part of the service I paid for) and yet I had to wait as their tech signed off slowly through the days for a simple 1 hour assembly at the end of the day(s) literally!- Problem off bat with a dvd and a motherboard MSI/ASUS that was not solely DigitalStorm's fault but their selection of the part was a poor choice and problematic. - Their attitude was horrible and focused on concern or validity of Windows 10 users only! Totally dismissive in every regard to my criticisms and would not take any responsibility for a few problems. Worst was their head of customer service who was so rude I still cannot believe it.All-in-all, yes last time I would every buy from them. I basically paid $400 extra for their custom service only to be treated with massive disrespect and major disappointment.I knew things were bad when the power cord - yes the power cord was faulty and 2 feet long! Seriously.Main complaints: Bad Wiring, bad testing, a few cheap (much cheaper than expected) chassis components, like the cheap plastic $4 hard drive bay - shocking for an expensive custom machine; the case was from China and very disappointing low quality as well, and extremely poor customer service.Pros: Depending on market price of certain components - you could come out even at least BUT CAVEAT: when housing components like the case, hard drive bay and power cords are all either cheap and/or bad, I personally would definitely not buy from them again. It was a nightmare wasted 3-4 problematic setup out-of-box, where normally with a new system you obviously plug-in within 15 minutes and go. Here, not the case at all.
