Review Time
I am writing this review to warn others about Direct Unlocks. My experience with them has been nothing but fraud and deception. They first charged me $14.99 claiming it was for an “eligibility check.” This is completely misleading, because after that, they demanded an additional $50 for the actual unlock. It’s been almost a month, and all I keep getting are repeated excuses like “it’s 99% complete” — but the unlock has never been completed.Every time I asked for a refund, they refused and kept dragging the process with vague updates. It’s clear they are not providing the service they promise and are tricking customers into paying multiple times under false pretenses. This company uses dishonest practices to lure people who just want to unlock their devices. Based on my experience, I strongly believe Direct Unlocks is running a scam operation. If you’re considering using them, don’t waste your money. They will take your payment, keep stalling, and never deliver what they promise. Please save yourself the frustration, time, and money — avoid Direct Unlocks at all costs.
Stay Away if you do not want to get scammed.I do not know how these kind of entity can operate from UK, Mr. Jody John Sanders, the owner has had similer organizations opened and dissolved with looting peoples money, anybody can check the UK Companies House services registry for this name. They charged me $28.99 + $198 for an unlocking service. Initially they have given a timeline of 6 days for the task, they added 2 more days and after 8 days they just ghosted me from their support platform. The support system folled me and kept me in wish for service for 4 hours waiting (after 8 days) for their support, eventually just blocked me out. I have claimed for refund and they tried to buy more time to make me exhaused and then blocked my communication and essentially stolen my money..I would complain for this entity along with all relevent communications and evidences to the concerned authority.Update:These peoples have gone past the limit of bigotry. Their system tracks all order with the IMEI number which I have given earlier in the review thus they have got my order detail now, these scammers are asking for my email and order number which are by the way attached with the IMEI and pretending of helping. Direct Unlocks, stop cheating people and refund my money if you have minimum level of ethic in your business practice.A 99% complete status is there for last 4 days. This is to establish "Task not completed", whereas you had 6 days to complete the task as per your task summery. I have waited additional 2 days (by today it's 3 and half days more than 6 days) and then asked for refund, do not try to fool people.Update 27th Sep:They just ghosted me and scammed me. No mail response, no support communication, no refund. Just vanished.
iniatail cost of 14.99 then 30 then said they have to direct to manufacturer as EE cant unlock and can take up to 10 days ,then after i asked ofrexplaination then saying they are speaking to EE again , contardicting themselves in every reply leading to another cost of a usb remote device to unlock with more costs , scammers !!!!!!!
I was initially skeptical about using this service. I had a phone that was initially used with Republic Wireless, then migrated to Dish Network, and later to Boost as part of that company's merger/buyout. When almost 24 hours had gone by with them trying to get the phone unlocked with Dish Network, I was more concerned. Direct Unlocks then escalated the request to Motorola. 4 days went by, and my anxiety went up even more. Then on the 5th day, I checked the status and was elated to find that I had an unlock code.Cudos to Direct Unlocks for their persistence in this matter! AWESOMENESS!
They just ripped me off for $111. Was told my phone could be unlocked after paying $25 fee "to check". Once confirmed, it was $69 to actually unlock your phone. Paid that too. When after a few weeks and getting no response from their "Technical Support", i requested a refund. Then waiting for another few weeks for "Finance" to get a hold of me for a refund, I was told to file a claim with my Credit Card Company. Did that, and then they whacked me $111 in "return transactions" fees due to the dispute. Gave me a week to pay or my phone would be blacklisted due to lack of payment. So now I am out $136, and my phone is still locked! Buyer Beware!
Advertised an instant service, then projected timeframe was 7 days. Advertised their ability to unlock my phone then the cost went from $24 to an additional $69 to an additional $170+... Be warned - you don't get what you pay for and then they try to avoid refunding your money for a service NOT provided.
Be warned, this is a scam.First there is no transparent pricing, showing an initial £14.99 when you start things off, then it says that was for checking, then shows all clear. Then say £30 to unlock the network which then rose to £43 saying there was an activation lock. 3-4 days later they come back with activation lock failed. Then a further day later they want another £50 on a premium service to remove it. Guess what, there was no activation lock and no network unlock, all they do is say you have a lifetime credit note which you will most unlikely ever be able to use.Trustpilot need to stop allowing these sites from showing false reviews as they don’t have 32k+ reviews at 4.7 average.
