Jack, the engineer, called at the agreed time, for a second visit due to a leaking bath. The final issue, re-sealing a bath tap, was completed with the minimum of fuss and disruption. As previously, Jack was unfailingly polite, and explained what he had done in layman's terms.
This made an already stressful situation worse. I had an all-day appointment scheduled but received no confirmation or updates. Just as I had to leave, the technician arrived. I informed him my wife was on her way back, but he refused to wait. The entire encounter was recorded. He was rude and dismissive. When I inquired about the lack of communication, he falsely claimed he called. There were no missed calls or voicemails. I was understandably frustrated, but not rude. Why couldn't he just say he would return later? Now, I've been given a new appointment in six days, despite having an active leak. This delay is unacceptable.
