Always had a good experience

Every experience with Emirates has been good. Never encountered any issues. Airport lounges are great. Service during flights is excellent and staff are always attentive. I mainly work and read on flights, but the in-flight entertainment is very good if you want to use it (when travelling with my children, they always enjoy using it).

Recently flew Emirates to Male via Dubai & return. It had been over 5 years since we last flew with them.Overall a very good service, all flights on time & staff friendly.I've marked them down as they don't come round with a drinks service after take off, they include this with the meal service & so we were waiting nearly 2 hours before we were offered a drink of any kind. Also we didn't think the food was as good as it used to be.

Review of the check in process at…

Review of the check in process at Heathrow airport. The new automated system really puts every traveller in a bad mood before they even start their journey. I had three cases for two passengers checking in. I stood in a queue which was obviously the way to the desks. Ten minutes later a girl came up to me and asked me if I had registerd my luggage in the machine and got the tags, which I was not aware of. She helped me with getting three tags and showed me how to attach them to the cases. I then joined the queue again till I got to an automated luggage acceptance machine. This is where it all went wrong. I scanned my boarding pass and then I put one case on the scale. This was accepted. I then scanned the second boarding pass and put the second case on the scale. This was also accepted. I was now left with one suitcase and no more boarding passes to scan. I called the person who was supervising the procedures. He told me to go to the assistance desk and see one of the agents there. Half an hour later I got to the desk and was able to give my third case to the agent. The whole point of this review is that I had no knowledge in advance of all the steps that were needed regarding the check in process, and nobody explained how one gives three cases with two boarding passes. I saw other passengers struggling with the same failures. This whole process really stressed me out. What happened to the old fasioned agents where you turn up give your luggage and get your pass?I understand that automation is taking over in a lot of situations but it needs to be more user friendly. The rest of my flight was acceptable and in some cases exceeded my expectations but I will not be flying with Emirates ever again based on my experience.

Emirates - not so good anymore.

Emirates used to be the pinnacle of flight experience. Our last trip was a huge disappointment. Already at online check in we saw the first signs of change. Online check reported technical problems and asked us to try again later. When we tried 8 hours later it was possible to enter information, but the system could not generate online boarding passes, which meant we had to queue at the check-in counter for 45 minutes to get a boarding pass.At the boarding counter in Hamburg, the boarding manager ran around and aggressively measured and weighed hand luggage that he thought weighed over 7 kg or if a passenger had a small handbag with them. He issued very large fines to those he thought exceeded the limit. A behavior we have only seen with Ryanair and AirAsia that Emirates probably does not want to be compared to and a behavior that creates a bad atmosphere and fear among passengers who have not weighed their hand luggage very carefullyThe seats in Emirates Boing 777 aircraft on economy class have the same width as those used by the two mentioned low-cost companies on short-haul flights. This means that it is not possible to eat with a knife and fork which is a shame when Emirates uses real cutlery and not just something made of plastic or wood.Considering the price, Emirates no longer delivers a good product.

Flew from Dublin to Japan via Dubai

Flew from Dublin to Japan via Dubai, not impressed ran out of food options, feel all the attention goes to every class of the cabin but economy, on the plane for over an hour before being offered any snacks or drinks, not a comfortable cabin and amazed that their ICE is award winning

Emirates failed us: Distressing, expensive, and no care given

I travelled with Emirates on 12 September 2025 from Mumbai to Dubai and onwards to Birmingham. What should have been a smooth journey turned into one of the most stressful and humiliating experiences of my life.1. Flight Delay & Missed ConnectionOur Mumbai–Dubai flight (scheduled 00:05) was delayed by 2 hours, causing us to miss our onward connection. We arrived in Dubai at 07:15 and were told the next available flight was not until 14:55.2. Long Layover – No SupportDespite this long wait, we were refused hotel or lounge access because the delay was “under 8 hours” – by just 20 minutes. I was sick, vomiting, and exhausted, yet no rest facilities, no proper food, and no real support were offered.3. Humiliating Food VoucherWe were given a food voucher, but when trying to use it at McDonald’s (Gate B16), staff were rude and dismissive, saying “this is free so that’s what you get.” I was forced to accept one limited option and not allowed to choose my own meal. It was embarrassing and degrading, and we left the food behind.4. Seating & Meal FailuresMy partner and I had booked seats together, yet we were separated. Only after repeated complaints were we re-seated. My vegetarian meal request was “lost,” and both of us left without food for a long international flight.5. Poor Communication & Broken PromisesStaff gave conflicting information and false assurances. The aircraft provided was even different (Boeing instead of Airbus) without explanation.Impact:This journey left me physically unwell, emotionally stressed, and humiliated. Emirates completely failed in their duty of care.Bottom line:I expected professionalism and care. Instead, Emirates treated us with neglect and indifference. Even after 2 weeks, my formal complaint has gone unanswered.⚠️ Please think twice before booking Emirates. You pay premium prices expecting world-class service, but you may be left stranded, sick, and ignored – exactly as we were. Please do not reply to me here. I would like a proper resolution and explanation by email, as I need a clear response to what I had to go through. Thank you.

Delayed connection treatment after an…

Delayed connection treatment after an Emirates flight from London to Seychelles. My poor disabled mum and sister flew out yesterday expecting a pleasant flight. Already bad enough that every one of their flights has to stop in Dubai with no direct flights to lots of countries. Emirates were so late leaving that they ended up missing their connecting flight. What did Emirates do? They booked them on a flight leaving many hours later and plonked them in a bright airport lounge with minimal food and drink. No overnight accommodation to get some rest. Apparently the delay needs to be over 8 hours. Emirates, you need to do better. What kind of treatment is that for a 79 year old who suffers from back issues and is in pain. We will be filing a formal complaint, trust me! Oh, and I won't go into the seat booking fiasco initially. Emirates quality is gone.

The worst customer service of any Airline!

To keep this horrible experience short, we had a total of a 10 hr delay (6 hrs from Cairo to Dubai and 4 from Dubai to KYC). The delay caused us to miss our Delta flight from NYC to Cleveland and had to rebook for the following day and spend an unplanned night in New York. I don't even want to talk about the lack of sympathy and care provided by managers in Cairo and Dubai. After submitting several complaints about our indescribably horrible experience all the company could offer was 50,000 miles (and we flew business class!). They declined refunding our hotel or any incidentals and refused to either provide a voucher or monetary compensation. We will never again fly Emirates. The risk of having a potential 10 hour delay without compensation of any significant kind, is not worth it.

I am beyond disappointed with my recent experience flying Emirates from Dubai to London. For an airline that markets itself as “family friendly” and charges a premium, the reality was the complete opposite.First of all, Emirates is absolutely not baby or toddler friendly. When I booked, I was promised a special toddler meal. Onboard? Nothing of the sort. The only “baby food” available was a tiny apple purée clearly intended for six-month-old infants. For a toddler, that’s unacceptable especially on a 7.5 hour flight. How can an airline of this size and reputation fail to provide even the most basic meal option for children? To make matters worse, the cabin crew were shockingly unhelpful and unfriendly. My baby got whiny (as babies naturally do on long flights), and instead of showing patience or kindness, the air hostesses looked visibly annoyed. Their expressions said it all, miserable, irritated, and clearly uninterested in being there. They made zero effort to make the situation easier or offer support. For the price people pay to fly with Emirates, the level of service was ridiculous and insulting. Other airlines manage to provide proper kids’ meals, supportive staff, and at least a shred of empathy for parents travelling with little ones. Emirates completely failed in every respect. If you’re traveling with a baby or toddler, I strongly advise avoiding Emirates. They are not family-friendly, their service is appalling, and their staff need serious training in both customer service and basic compassion.

Loosing ground

After waiting to reach their call center I was answered by a rude and unhelpful agent. Again she put me on hold and I waited 15 minutes without answers or apologies. Emirates has really changed to the worst. Luckily for them they have a monopoly and can afford not to be competitive anymore in terms of service !
