Review Time
I wish I had read the reviews here before purchasing an ET-1810 refurbished printer from Epson's store on eBay. It lasted just over a year. I tried to contact them via the platform, but the message I got is: "We're sorry, but this seller has chosen not to receive messages." Great, isn't it?
I bought an Epson XP-2200 in July 2025 and, at first, it worked fine although I found set up etc somewhat confusing. I received ink cartridges with limited output with my purchase and enrolled on an ink subscription scheme although the first three months were free. I kept receiving messages telling me that my set up had problems despite my many efforts to rectify. So I cancelled my subscription but I suspect that, as I was still in the 3 month free ink period, it continued working. Before my 3 months were up I did receive one set of cartridges. Also, just before my 3 months were up I went away for 8 weeks so did not use the printer. Today is my first day back and my printer won't work. After searching through the myriad of online help categories and talking to the Epson chatbox I realised that it has stopped working because there had been problems with my subscription and upon delving deeper into the chatbox menu it advised that I need to discuss my issue with a REAL person who only works office hours Monday to Friday. It's Saturday! So to say that I am frustrated is an understatement. So I got out my old printer and got on with my work. The XP -2200 is going back to Curries on Monday.
Cancelled Epson ReadyPrint and my printer is still locked and unusable.Support could not unlink it and ended the chat without resolving the issue.A subscription continuing to disable customer owned hardware after cancellation is unacceptable.I am requesting immediate unlinking and written confirmation. This gets routed to Epson’s reputation response team, not frontline support.
Load of Shit. Not expensive new but only prints about 20 pages at the most then new ink needed. Replacements expensive but not recognized so total waist of money. A world full of Pure Junk! A world of throw away new cars after 5 years how can I complain about spending £50+ on a shit printer.Save your money and go to your local library and pay them for your prints, its well worth it compared to this piece of crap.
The Epson ET 2810 worst piece of technology ever conceived. Feels like it was created by the devil himself. Setting it up is a ball ache, refilling the ink is a ball ache but all of that is a walk in a park compared to when you just need to use it. You try to print, you come across an issue and it gives you advice on how to troubleshoot it, that advice never works, you end up having to troubleshoot that problem, eventually ending up in a never ending loop of troubleshooting. Its woke WiFi connectivity is more of a hindrance than some sort of revolutionary technology. Old school plug and print printers were so much better. This piece of garbage has actually made me think we’ve gone too far with technology and that it’s actually more work using these newer printers than the older models they have replaced. Garbage don’t get one
I had a very disappointing experience with Epson. When I placed my order, I definitely chose home delivery for my printer. However, it was sent to a pickup point instead. Even more frustrating, when I went to collect it, there were still four days left before the pickup deadline, but the printer had already been returned to Epson prematurely.I contacted customer support multiple times. The first time, they agreed to resend the printer, acknowledging that it wasn’t my fault. But when I still didn’t receive it and reached out again, they started claiming that I had requested pickup at the point. I provided clear evidence: the order confirmation showing home delivery and the SMS indicating four days left to pick it up. Yet, the customer support ignored these facts and insisted that I had chosen the pickup point. This level of service is absolutely the worst. It’s clear that the fault lies with the shipping and the company’s poor handling of the situation. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend Epson to anyone.
My Epson KP6100 is a shabby piece of kit, very fragile and slow (a bit like me). What I especially dislike is replacing inks. I can't afford the absurd prices for Epson own inks but get duplicates via Amazon for a third of the Epson price. Once replaced, Epson will keep on telling you that you are not using their own inks, with a sub text that things will go wrong. They sure do, the paper tray stops functioning. What you must remember is to disconnect the plug from the mains for a night. Ignore the demands for their inks. All the bits fall off the printer while replacing the cartridges.
