Readyprint subscription service is good in principle but totally inaccurate in their print count in reality.I started to notice this gradually as I had to keep increasing my allowance, and then realised it was their system at fault. I restarted a subscription several times, to prove it to them- printed one test page and it recorded 2- and they did nothing and said it was fine. I have written to them over and over, increasing my subscription to 100. I then started to pay even closer attention to whenever I printed, and to the updates (which happens later and is the excuse they use to say why it shows different), making sure I printed nothing in between for a few days, and it is recording EXACTLY DOUBLE the amount I print. The carry forwards are also inaccurate- that is simple maths! I have written to them one last time, and if they do not resolve (which I doubt as it seems a very technical internal error on their part), I will look into how I can have them investigated externally, as I believe thousands of customers must have the same issue and have either not realised, thinking they printed more than they thought (like me initially) or they are being ignored by the company.
Wow, totally unimpressed with Epson. I have used their printers for 30+ years. Printer fed paper from one side causing a paper jam today, and when I removed the back panel as instructed by Epson a part of the paper feed had broken off. The printer is 6 months old. Agent said they could book a service but it would be chargeable as this was misuse! So by putting paper in a printer and printing it, you are misusing it! The guy then thanked me for contacting Epson and told me to have a great day. After writing this review, Epson Customer Service in the UK contacted me, and said the agent was incorrect, and that the printer was covered, and replaced it. If only that had done this to start with, it would have saved me paying nearly £60 for the part that broke, which I now cannot return. They also said that the agents in the overseas call centre will be trained better in future. I somehow doubt it, but that remains to be seen.
I have used Epson printers for many years and have always found them reliable until my latest purchase which was bought from Currys on the 19th of September so basically 34 days ago, yesterday the black ink stopped feeding through despite full ink tanks ( ET-2876) after numerous attempts at clearing including two power cleans the printer has now declared itself at the end of its service life, absolutely ridiculous! Too late to return to Currys, the Epson customer service phone number is fake and no reply via email so basically £200 down the drain. The above review was written out of rage and frustration after a very long day, this morning I was contacted by Epson who monitor reviews on Trustpilot and a lovely lady called Jean couldn't have been more understanding and helpful about my problem printer, a replacement was sent out today and is arriving tomorrow so apart from the difficulties contacting Epson customer service via phone or email when you actually do manage to talk to them they are really nice and very efficient problem solvers so i amend my original review and thank Epson ( particularly Jean) for your prompt service.
How I wish I had seen these reviews before signing up to the Epson Ink service. The website is a nonsense. I cannot get answers to any questions and depsite supposed links on the website, there doesn't seem to be an email address. The phones also do not get answered. The instructions for linking the printer to Epson via internet are worthless.I am now having to send a letter as I think I will need to end this ridiculous contract.
Further to my review of the 13/1/2024 I have since dealt with a member of Epson's customer service team, Zoe Rollison who has promptly and satisfactory dealt with the issue of a refund, I am happy to give her a thank you the way she dealt with it Michael Kavanagh
I bought epson xp-2205 to replace hp that had died after a long and trouble free life. The epson is is a nightmare, paper jams refusing to print, ink problems, in fact everything about this machine is rubbish. What should be a simple task of printing a document becomes a stressful long winded process to attempt to diagnose the current problem.Do yourself a favour and buy anything but an epson
ONE STAR IS TOO MANY! I have never known a company HATE their customers THIS MUCH. Not only are all their machines faulty, They take machines away and refuse to give them back! Only after being threatened with small claims they agree to return the printer, only to return it in a state that is unusable. Then after arguing for WEEKS they agree to send a fit for purpose printer, but only to send it to the OPOSITE side of the country, say they've rebooked your delivery when they HAVENT and leave you waiting a week with no contact. THEN You finally get your delivery only to see the SAME ISSUE as before and it totally unfit for purpose. Despite being told their customers have disabilities which are exacerbated by stress, can leave them unable to WALK, they DO NOT CARE! If you own a small business and cant afford to replace your printers every three days DO NOT BUY EPSON THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!
