The experience to get the car was fine…

The experience to get the car was fine and Led from St Pancras branch was helpful and asked me to sign up for fuel tank option. Upon returning my car, Europcar still charged me for a fuel tank option despite I return the car back with fuel tank. Even the return statement said I returned the call with fuel tank. I have made an investigation, case number #22353882 and I’m still waiting for my refund. I see you replied people’s comment with the Europcar link. Your link does not work so I had to call my customer service and they were not helpful. Please, I just want my refund back for the mistake that you made.

Beware of False Damage Claims – Unfair Charges!

I recently rented a vehicle from Europcar on 02/02/2025, and my experience has been extremely disappointing. The rental process was smooth, and I returned the vehicle in perfect condition, with no damage whatsoever. Europcar even refunded my deposit, confirming there were no issues at the time of return.However, 18 days later, I received an email claiming that I had caused a 5-15 cm scuff on the front bumper. This accusation is completely false. I drove carefully, parked safely, and at no point was the bumper exposed to any situation that could have caused such damage.I immediately disputed the claim and requested proof, including time-stamped photos and inspection reports. So far, Europcar has not provided clear evidence that the damage occurred while the vehicle was in my possession. Given the time delay, I strongly suspect the damage happened after my rental and that Europcar is unfairly holding me responsible.This experience has been frustrating, and I now see many similar complaints from other customers. It feels like a deliberate scam to extract extra money from customers long after their rental has ended. Beware! Always take detailed photos and videos before and after your rental to protect yourself.I would strongly advise against renting from Europcar unless you want to risk being charged for damages you didn’t cause.

Worst experience of my life

Worst experience of my life. I didn't take out additional insurance, and I returned my car to bristol airport after a flawless drive and signed off on the tablet to confirm that all was fine. The staff at the car return looked over the car and didn't raise any issue. I then received a damage notification followed by a £100 bill for a 'light scuff' on one wheel, (which wasn't caused by me). I was shown no proof that this was not there before my rental and as much as I did check the car for dents/scrapes on the doors, bumpers etc (Bearing in mind it was dark at almost 11pm at night when I collected the car), I did not get down on my hands and knees with a torch to check the car tyres, if I had done I would have seen that this 'light scuff' was already there. At the time of returning the car I signed the tablet with no mention of any damage by staff even after they had walked around and inspected the car. I contacted customer services and was simply told that 'any damage needed to have been reported before hand'. Will never use this company again and strongly advise others to avoid as I feel I have been victimised and ripped off for failing to take out additional insurance.

Terrible experience with Eurocar

Terrible experience with Eurocar! I booked a car online, paid in advance, and when I arrived to pick it up, they refused to rent it to me without any valid reason. The staff was unhelpful and showed no interest in resolving the issue. To make things worse, getting a refund has been a nightmare—slow responses, excuses, and no clear process.This company is completely unreliable, and their customer service is awful. Avoid them at all costs unless you want to waste your time and money!Let me know if you’d like any changes!

We hired cars from europecar Birmingham airport branch the service we received was 10/10 the customer service was great. The staff were always very helpful and friendly. For us we would highly recommend for car hire

Absolute scammers!

Absolute scammers!! STOLE money out of my bank account for “fuel” Even if it was owed which it wasn’t Maximum fuel you can get in the car is £50 but you took £70???

I requested a rental car from the Hamilton branch, I made the payment and uploaded all the documents. I received a phone call from Sam saying everything was done and paid for that I could collect the car.When I arrived I was asked for my address which I had already done online and then got told I was declined. Why could he not have told me this when he phoned me? I have now been informed it will take upto 10 days for my refund They clearly make money off clients holding their money for a period of time and getting interest. Not a reliable company stay well away from them

Avoid, try a professional car rental company.......Can't think of a less professional…

Can't think of a less professional company than Europcar. Unfortunately the 2nd problematic time I've had to use them.First time I get delivered a Kia with a GPF light on dash so it drank fuel.This time taken 3 days to get me a car and because no one listens to you it wasn't appropriate for our needs. Eventually was put into a MGzs ,again too small for what we need but had to take it or we have no transport..An awful short staffed company with limited vehicles that doesn't answer the phone!

Very poor customer service who cant seem to help.

In the last month I have had 2 rentals from Europcar, the first one I sourced via Expedia and paid Expedia for the rental, when I got to the desk in gatwick airport to pick the car i had booked and paid for the rep said there was no payment and asked me to pay again before taking the car. The second rental pickup yesterday 30/1/2025 I ordered a Tesla Model 3 when driving the replacement car back I realised the heating was not working, I reported this straightaway on Friday night @ about 8.00pm the person I spoke to was not sure what to do but said i should get in touch with the branch i tried but there seems to be no way to do that, i then spoke to another europcar rep this morning at 8.00am and they said they would get in touch with the branch to sort out a replacement car I then spoke to them again at 11.00 as i need to know what was going on and to start my journey, they did know how to help me but said the branch would get in touch. Its now 12.10pm and still nothing.These rental companies should be looked into there customer service is very poor and from my experiance they are ripping people off charging twice and not helping to rectify any problems.
