I notice recently, that Eventbrite have put out a biased and discriminating statement They say they will not allow organisations to use Eventbrite to sell tickets as this "violates our community guidelines and terms of service specifically that it could contribute to a risk of harm or incite violence"! The event listing was Kohetry Presents - Reindigenise Healing". Last week you cancelled tickets for a couch from Manchester to London, for the national demo. for Palestine, on Saturday last. Many of us supporting Palestine against "risk" of harm or the genocide of Israel, have observed your assumption of such events inciting violence. We are outraged at your highhanded position of demonising anything supporting Palestine. Many of us are no longer going to use your service anymore; we will also inform the events who use your service as to why we are doing this and that they need to move away to a neutral event service.
AVOID! I am an events organiser trying to refund a customer, all funds are held by EVENTSHITE. when clicking refund the system is trying to take 450 pounds out of my personal bank account instead of theirs. When contacting their utterly robotic online chat centre, they simply say sorry there appears to be a technical error we will get back to you. Meanwhile I am unable to refund my customer, on top of this EVENTSHITE still want to charge me 40 pounds set up costs even though the event was cancelled by the venue. Note to Directors of this terrible company, in order to run a ticketing system well, look at companies like Fatsoma or Skiddle, those guys do it well! You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.
This is the 10th year we have used Eventbrite to sell tickets to our event. NEVER AGAIN!!They have changed how ticket availability is viewed so customers have to click on each and every event to see availability. Imposible, when you have over 100 timed slots!!I haver contacted them 8 times and still not fixed and losing customers every day so have had to do phone sales and use another provider. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
It's easy to see that most customers have had a bad experience. I had booked a night for me and 8 friends at a venue, the transaction was smooth and the ticket arrived instantly by email. After reading the reviews I was a bit nervous and so contacted the venue directly. They confirmed my booking had been made, and confirmed the event was genuine. In this case, all good.
We bought tickets for speed dating. Got to the venue and was told by the bar manager that its a scam. The bar manager/establishment keep telling event brite that this guy is posting fake speed dating at their bar and charging 25 quid a ticket. The customers turn up to an empty bar and apparently eventbrite couldn't care less. Just keep letting the scammer use their platform to con people out of money.
