Made a mistake with a ticket order (my fault, I hold my hands up to that part). Organiser's refund policy is just 'contact the organiser'. Did that via Eventbrite, waited a few days, no response. Did it again, waited a few days, no response.Submitted a refund request directly to Eventbrite, declined with generic script.Found a separate email address for the organiser, contacted them, waited a few days, no response.Submitted another refund request directly to Eventbrite, explaining the above and stating the organiser is in breach of their refund policy, declined again with generic script.I've now raised a dispute via my credit card company but I'm not optimistic.Moral of the story, check your order details VERY carefully (description, date, location, quantity) and only place an order if you're certain you'll be able to attend, because otherwise, the organiser can just choose to ignore you and Eventbrite will do bugger all about it. It's seemingly impossible to speak to a human being at the company. Dreadful service and I'll never part with any money on their platform again.
No Customer ServiceI bought a ticket and then was then told the account was 'suspended'. They haven't explained why, or if I can reactivate the account.They don't have a customer service number. I have submitted 3 enquiries online and received no reply.I am having to get a refund from credit card provider now, to create another account to rebuy the ticket. It's appalling!
I needed to renew my password but when I clicked on the connection it took me to a blank page with in ‘Open’ as an option. This did nothing but take me back to the page with only ‘Open’ as an option. I have now missed the by I wanted to visit Eventbrite need to look at their website to fix this failure urgently.
The security guys are thugs that I encountered. Rude and obnoxious. I was genuinely confused at a recent event and panicked about which door to use. I am an older woman and I was sober. They pushed me aggressively through a door and when I turned and shouted get your hands off me I was kicked hard from behind. It was cowardly and an act of gbs and I was basically assaulted when all I wanted was help. They are lucky I'm not making an official police complaint. If I could give 0 stars I would. I would never use them ever.
Absolute SCAM of a company.Purchased VIP tickets to an event. Instead got shoved right at the back. I complained they offered a partial refund. Never got it. Ignored by organiser. There is NO WAY of getting hold of anyone at this company. I will NEVER go through this company again.
I used to really like Eventbrite, but in recent months it has really gone downhill. I was puzzled as to why, then I discovered that they now charge free event organisers to use the platform, so people have migrated to other services like TicketSource. I don't blame them for charging, especially since they're providing a service, but the result is that people that used to use Eventbrite for free and paid events have now gone to other platforms.
We have contacted them almost three weeks ago to get technical help with our login issue. They have continuously asked the same questions, failed to address the matter, and kept our thousands of ticket sales money and left us stranded two weeks before our charity fundraiser. Absolutely horrible! Avoid Eventbrite by all means. They’re simply awful.
