Absolute disgrace of a company! It's been 8 months and still waiting for them to deal with the claim. No response from anyone and when I call for an update they are extremely rude as if it is an inconvenience.
It is difficult to describe how poor this excuse for a company is. Their service is an absolute disgrace. We were burgled and lost a jewellery box. We had They handle the claims for our insurer. We had at least four calls with their team, including a supposed 'manager', assuring us it would all be covered and talking us through the process. We asked specific questions about the jewellery, as I did not want my wife going through the heartbreaking process of looking through old photos to work out what had been stolen if it was not going to be covered. They assured me on every call that it would be covered and they would take a practical approach.Once we submitted our claim, they sat on it for three weeks and did nothing with it. After chasing multiple times, they just sent us a message saying that jewellery is not covered by our policy as it is capable of being worn outside of the home, and the claim was closed. An absolute disgrace. It should obviously be covered, but in any case, they could have told us this on the very first call, it was the only thing we claimed for. Instead, we have had the emotional turmoil of reliving everything that was stolen, for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I would avoid this company at all costs if you can.
In my opinion this company can’t prove that qualified trades will carrying out work in your home. They price work needed far too low for a reputable tradesman to accept and produce quality work.Price first and then try to find someone who are a, free to do the work and b, do the work for the price they believe will return quality. They assure you they can find a contractor which I have no doubt, my doubts are you don’t know who are entering your property, you can’t assess their previous work or qualifications. There are too many ‘bodge it's’ out there.A good tradesman will have liability insurance, quality tools, excellent recommendations, punctual, assure you quality materials will be used, a proper schedule will be given, an accurate risk and method statement written.I don’t understand the logic and have no confidence that evolution are capable of overseeing projects large or small. My gut keeps telling me don’t touch with a barge pole. This is the reason people do thier own homework, they source their own reputable tradesman who can give assurances and price accordingly. Is there any wonder there are always conflicts between Surveyor's and trades.My experience will be going to the ombudsman where hopefully I can list all of my concerns where I haven’t had replies to.
What a joke this insurance company is. Happy to take your money. An absolute joke when you need to make a claim. They do not even deal with the claim, it's dealt with a third party company called Evolution , who are even worse. They sent a surveyor out , who surveyed the wrong property. Tried explaining this to the children at Evolution, but as usual , reading of a script and kept telling me to wait for the report. The report for the wrong property. Made me laugh though !!
Currently fighting a battle to get a suitable amount of payout for a leak in our bathroom. So far it's been over a month and I've received several low offers which won't even cover the cost of labour, let alone materials. A trusted plumber provided a detailed breakdown and cost of 10K to remove all fittings, replace a joist damaged by drain water and refit the bathroom. First offer from Evolution was 2K, I managed to get it upto 5K which still isn't enough to cover the bare minimum. Had to file a complaint with Admiral to even get access to the reports as Evolution kept promising to email them and never did. I have no idea how they work out their pricing, but clearly the program they use is not upto date and does not create accurate settlement figures. Unlikely to get resolved before christmas, I wish I'd read the reviews for this company beforehand.UPDATE: November 2025Evolution decided the maximum they would offer is 5K. This was still not enough to cover the cost of the repairs. We then had to go back through Admiral to get a figure more suitable. This thoroughly wasted our time. Evolution added nothing but stress to the entire situation. The feedback/review process got sent out today and is a chat bot which closes down when given a negative review. 😂
I had a drink driver hit my house, though no fault of my own i've had to go through insurance as damage is totalling nearly £30k. Evolution have come up with a cash settlement of less than £9k. The consultant they sent round spent approx. 10 mins looking at the damage and this is an insult
Don't know where to start unless is the only word I can say about this sham of a Company.This claim has been ongoing since August and all I get when I call almost weekly is its with the accounts department. Staff are very rude apart from one Lucy is absolutely amazing at her job very polite. I can honestly say in all my years of working in Customer service I've never ever come across staff quite like it.
I am still in the process of trying to sort out my home insurance claim. Evolution, who handle Frontier Home Insurance’s claims, have no preferred supplier to deal with my issue and are refusing to provide confirmation of coverage without a quote, which I can’t obtain without paying for an engineer to come out. I have also been waiting over a week to hear back from Evolution’s team, which is far past the 2 hour response time advertised on Frontier’s website, and in the meantime am stuck without a resolution and unable to cook on my hob. There’s also no way for me to contact Frontier or Evolution to raise a complaint about Evolution, nor is there a telephone contact. Will not be using again.
