Finematter did an amazing job with my past 3 orders over the past several months as they fixed many of my pins that were tarnished. They restored them back to their former glory and they look absolutely phenomenal. I have more pins that I will send to them in the next few months as their customer service is absolutely terrific, responsive, and nice. I feel very satisfied with my purchases and I’ll continue being a patron of Finematter.
Finematter has been reluctant to arrange a return and issue a refund despite me writing to them numerous times in the last 2 weeks, they reply with irrelevant content every few days and with much delay and they totally ignore the return request, the most unprofessional website I have ever shopped from, stay away from them and buy from the source direct if you can.
I sent in a ring to get replated. It was my wife's grandmothers, who was known to wear it almost everyday for decades. So reasonably there was some wear on it. After I got it back it looked good, but within a month or two the plating had completely worn off and looked significantly worse than before. On top of that, one of the studs that held a stone we broken, so we lost a stone. Looking back at pictures before and after Finematter, it looks like they damaged it.I will never use them again, customer service only ever offered to replate it.
This is my 3rd order from Finematter. They provide very good, responsive communication. They give regular updates on the status of the jewelry. I have been happy with all of the jewelry that I have received and plan to continue to shop with them.

I have used several of Finematter’s services in the U.K. and in all cases have had a great experience. Customer Service (Siobhan) very responsive and helpful.My taste in jewellery has changed and I had several items bought 10-15 years ago that I was no longer wearing. Realistic resale value for jewellery on eg vinted is very disappointing. I can sell by weight locally but Finematter’s credit offering allowed me to get a much higher price and use that to buy a new piece. Each time I sent an item off it arrived and was valued incredibly quickly and the weights were a very close match to my own weights (on a less accurate scale) so no disappointing surprises.I also used Finematter to re-plate a favourite pair of earrings. Really quick turnaround even though it was right before Christmas. Too soon to say how it lasts but they look great and I wear daily. I even had an easy return and exchange experience when I bought something new and wanted to exchange for another size. My return arrived quickly despite the destination being LA while the January 2025 fires raged and I’ve just received the exchange.I imagine it is better for the makers if customers buy direct but when purchasing from abroad the customs situation can be unclear and where customs are due the courier also charges an admin fee. I felt confident ordering via Finematter as I knew there would be no additional costs. Trading in older jewellery also allowed me to buy something I wouldn’t otherwise have been able to afford.
Finematter helped me find a pair of earrings that was completely sold out everywhere else, and I was able to find it at a discount too! It shipped right away and came packaged beautifully. Overall wonderful experience!
