Don't be fooled - there is no option to change the date or time of your reservation. Sure, there is a button to request it, but all it does is cancels your existing booking, charges you a complete ticket cancellation fee, and then prompt you to pay for a brand new ticket. Tried to move my trip by 1 hour with plenty of empty seats on the next bus a week in advance - had to buy a new ticket. What a scam! Flixbus, either don't charge a ticket cancellation fee for a change (price rate difference is ok of course) or don't advertise ticket changes as an option to mislead customers.
Booked a return from Faro Airport to Huelva. The times of departures at Faro and Huelva kept changing. No signs at both departure places as to where to wait for the bus. All passengers were asking each other. Luggage was placed in the hold at Faro, but on arrival at Huelva one of our fellow passengers unloaded many cases because the driver was nowhere to be seen. I, as an elderly lady, had to climb into the hold to collect our cases. The return journey was much better with help from the driver. Reserved seats were available to use if fellow passengers changed seats. Sometimes they refuse to move and the drivers did not intervene.
First time using FlixBus and definitely the last! (Trip from Boston to Western Mass)The driver refused to let me board because my suitcase was supposedly too big — later I measured it and it was only 2 inches over the limit. He told me to use the app to book extra luggage (which I didn’t have, since it was my first time) and then accused me of being rude when I was just trying to figure things out. I wanted to book the extra luggage at the spot but he kept saying that I am wasting his time and I am not allowed to board the bus. After a 20-hour trip, being stranded over something so minor was incredibly frustrating.There was plenty of luggage space, yet I was denied boarding and given no assistance. Awful customer service - I’ll never travel with FlixBus again.
I have been using Flixbus for long time. I love to travel by bus. They are very safe and the seats are very comfortable. They are ontime by the minute. There are many people to help at each terminal especially at the Midtown, NY station. They are very helpful. One of them took me to Amtrak train station across the road where you can use the rest rooms and relax if you have to wait a long time for the next bus.
I took Flix from London to Amsterdam and it was just terrible. The bus was over an hour late leaving London. During our return, The bus again was almost an hour late leaving. I had a 2 hour layover in Brussels and waited in a makeshift plastic covered shed that was horribly uncomfortable. The bus during this leg was almost two hours late, making my wait almost four hours in the elements. The bus, once boarded, was filthy. I have retained photos. Management were dismissive and lied. Telling me the total delay was 12 minutes according to their records. I was excited to ride the ferry while in England, but because they lied about the time that lapsed, I will never again use this service. I left on 10/18, returned on 10/21
We booked return Leicester to Lhr and they cancelled return coach so we rebooked again.very impressed with journey going to airport and was going to recommend more people to use but returned journey changed my mind.we arrived early and ask driver if can get earlier coach so we don’t have to wait 3 hours at the airport after 26 hours of journey but he refused and coach had only 10 customers after 3 hours of waiting we got our coach but when we were getting in the bus driver said we have to pay for our hard case tiny hand luggage and I explained to driver that it’s a same luggage when we arrived at the airport and I did chat with customer service and they said it’s okay to take that longest it’s 7kg but he refused and charged us £24 dispite their was only 15 people were in the bus and because of that he was 10 minutes late and after all that when we arrived at Melton king changed of driver and there we’re having a nice chat and we arrived 15 minutes late so I had to pay for another uber taxi so in the end it cost me more than I expected.
