Review Time
The driver collided with something causing threee bus windows being completely shuttered, immobilizing the bus at 1am, far from any transportation hub. Half of the bus passengers were heading to Venice airport for flights overseas. On passengers requests for the solution to reach the destination and NOT to miss the flights, drivers responded that its not their problem. Both drivers we very rude and refused to suggest solutions to clearly their mistake. Traveling with a child with FlixBus is too unreliable and stressful for my taste. Company took no actions and refused return for the alternative mean of transportation, bringing their "policy" as a reason. Clearly saving their interest takes priority over a customer service. I will certainly avoid this company. ***additional details as requested by FlixBus: 1. The collision caused 3 windows entirely shuttered (photos available if requested),2. Incident documented by local Croatian Police ,3. Bus involved in the incident an route to Prague via Trieste. 4. I had a connection in Trieste to Venice, with a 40 min transfer time, booked on the same ticket with FlixBus, which was impossible to catch with the time taken for the accident handling. 5. Contacts to other passengers, witnessing the situation available upon request,6. Receipts for a alternative, reasonable and comparative transportation available up on request,7. Email correspondence with FlixBus, rejecting coverage of the alternative transportation to the final destination (airport) available up on request.
I've used flixbus before and it was fine but the website was very unclear when I was booking most recently as it was only a 12 hour clock for times and there was no AM or PM. This lead to me missing my bus. When I was on a live chat to try to get a refund, the person on the other end didn't help at all and kept making up reasons why she couldn't help. After about 50 minutes of polite argument, she ended the chat as I was typing due to me "not responding". She would've been able to see I was typing as I could see when she was typing.So yeah, decent bus service if it works. The drivers are usually very friendly. But the customer service is absolutely dreadful
On October 11, 2025, my girlfriend and I arrived at the designated bus stop in Verona (Viale Andrea Palladio) at approximately 19:53 for our 20:00 departure to Milan. The bus, operated by FLIXBUS with license plate GZ 682SV, arrived at the same time. As we were the last passengers to board, I attempted to place our two backpacks into a luggage compartment near the boarding door to expedite the process.An employee of the carrier immediately began shouting at me aggressively in Italian. I replied in English/Italian, "calm down please" , apologized for my mistake, and explained I was trying to be helpful. I repeatedly asked him to calm down, but he continued to shout, stepping closer to me and my girlfriend in an intimidating manner. His behavior escalated as he struck the side of the vehicle's luggage door several times with his fist. This action visibly frightened my girlfriend.The employee refused to scan our tickets or assist with our luggage, for which our ticket included an allowance of two hold bags. He then threatened me, stating, "You're a tourist; maybe I should call the Carabinieri/Polizia." I perceived this as discriminatory and threatening. He subsequently ran to the front of the bus and attempted to close the doors while we were still outside. I was forced to physically block the doors by jumping into the doorway and standing between them to prevent the bus from leaving without us. After this, he finally scanned our tickets while was still screaming at us.We were forced to carry our two large backpacks and another bag into the cabin for the 2 hour and 35-minute journey, as they would not fit in the overhead storage. This created a terrifying, uncomfortable and difficult travel situation. The employee's conduct constituted verbal harassment and physical intimidation. His actions, especially punching the vehicle and attempting to close the doors on us, created an unsafe environment and caused my girlfriend significant emotional distress, which persisted for the entire journey home.
My seats were double booked on both legs of the journey. I contacted Flixbus to request a refund for the booking fee. I'd booked two seats each time as they offer the option to sit alone, but in both instances another person had managed to book the seats. I've had no reply from customer service and it has been over a month.
FlixBus cancelled my Bologna–Lucca bus just one hour before departure. They called this a “reschedule,” but in reality they moved it 16 hours later, to the next afternoon, and changed it from a direct route to a much longer one with two stops. Since the original bus was at 21:40, there were no other transport options that night. My phone battery died, it was late, and I was forced to book a hotel. I had already paid for my hotel in Lucca for the same night, and I had to buy a new train ticket early the next morning to get there for work—still arriving late to my meeting.I requested a refund for the extra hotel and train costs caused by their last-minute cancellation, but customer service refused. Their answer was basically: “We refunded your bus ticket, that should be enough so we owe you nothing because you didn’t take the bus we rescheduled 16 hours later.” Was I supposed to wait outside all night until the next day’s bus? Where, exactly? They simply repeated: “Sorry, nothing we can do.” So here is what I can do: warn others. Never trust FlixBus.
I was on a 5 hours+ journey from Poitiers to Bayonne, France on 10/10/25 , my first trip on Flixbus. Very few people were in their allocated seats on the bus which led to a few loud discussions at the various stops. The green light showing toilet was unoccupied was on , but when I tried it the door was locked. No toilet stop during the whole trip. Not good enough . Clodagh, Dublin , Ireland
I went to victoria green line coach station. The Flixbus employee there tells me that the bus leaves from victoria coach station. I go to victoria coach station. Bus is not there. I contacted customer service for refund. Was told that bus left from vi toria green line coach station and would not give me a refund.They were not even interested in finding out how to fix this problem so that future customers would not have this issue.Given that the misdirection came from their employee and was not given a refund despite their fault, I would say that they are committing fraud..
It was a pleasant journey and the bus driver was very helpful, efficient and kind. The booking system is fast and easy and prices are so convenient.I very much will choose to travel again and I recommended to friends and family.
I was always very happy with Flixbus, clear info, busses running on time, affordable and comfortable busses. Really good , when everything went well....Then when I changed one of my tickets to a busses with an earlier departure as I got to the busstation way before my original bus would leave, it went wrong. We'll changing it was easy enough, however i only received an email confirmation of the change and the new details. The new details gave me the wrong information on the bus - unbeknown to me of course - the Line nr was wrong at it never gave me the bay it was leaving from. By the time i found out , rhe bus had gone.When I then rebooked for my original bus it was 4 x the original price.That's not the worst of it though. I immediately emailed flixbus with all the info, previous confir.ation emails and screenshots to show that I missed the bus through no fault of my own and because I sent 4 x the normal amount I think it would only be just that I would het some sort of refund.However Flixbus just kept sending me their standard response. The bus I booked, albeit delayed, did leave, other passenger we're on it and therefore no refund.For me its now a matter of principal, a co pant of Flizbus standing should be able to admit their mistake, so quite clearly shownieuws to them through my tickets, and refund it. But no. For me that's it, will not everyone recommend them again. Very disappointing to say the least.
