Just average so far

The smartbox came by next day delivery as paid for. However, despite filling in online the names of all the people the gift was from, there was nothing to indicate this on/in the giftbox itself, which meant that i had to get a separate card and write in the names. Also, it would be a good idea to be able to personalise the gift box by including names of the recipients with a short message - can't be rocket science, surely!Said recipients haven't tried to use the voucher yet; i hope the choice and value for money will be better than the experience so far.

Bought a smartbox gift and tried to…

Bought a smartbox gift and tried to cancel the next day. Was told they can't cancel via email and had to call. Called up 10 mins later and was still left waiting. Automated system suggested they call me back so I don't have to wait. Great. No one called back. I emailed again that afternoon to make sure someone would call before they close. No response. Gift dispatched that evening. Great. What a total waste of time. Cancelled the next day but was not refunded delivery as item had already been dispatched. Well, how about you actually cancel when I ask you to? Load of rubbish. And have seen that most of the gifts are cheaper if you go direct to the companies offering the services.

Not worth it!

3 of us given this for xmas 2017. 2 year expiry date...great. Too much like hard work and i only used mine this week. Limited to where you can use the voucher and as someone else said about 25% more than if you book direct with experiences. 1 down, 2 to go and less than 3 months left to use. Friend also got one years ago and didnt use it, went to waste. Have to pay extra to extend the experience too. Would not recommend as a gift.

No problems. My advice is to set up voucher emails up so that it's easier to send directly to a recipient on a specific date.

Very misleading

I saw an advert to go Glamping in The Lake District for £56 for a night, so I clicked the link which took me to this website. I purchased the voucher straight away then proceeded to go and book a suitable forthcoming Saturday night stay. The website I was directed to didn’t do online bookings (in this day and age!!??) so I had to fill out a form and await a response. Later that day I got an email back saying they have no upcoming Saturday night availability and even if they had, breaks including Saturdays are an extra £10 per night and must be booked only as part of a two night stay!So, my thoughts of a relatively inexpensive night away for £56 is now going to cost me £132 and I don’t want to stay for two nights as I have responsibilities at home. Not impressed, I’ll be asking for a refund.

Afternoon tea with bubbles

Visited Cafe Jazz, part of the Sandringham Hotel Cardiff for mum's 80th birthday.Was very disappointed with the quality and presentation of afternoon tea. The bread was dry. First time I've ever been given whipped cream instead of clotted cream with a scone. Overall extremely disappointing.
