Two negatives

First, their website is terrible. You cannot even see your current balance. Second, I paid off a one year interest fee loan in four months. They charge a $189 UCC fee. I found out that that is a fee to local government because they basically put a lien on my HVAC system. Although the contract does state they "could" charge that fee, it should have been more clear since not every company files a lien for an HVAC system. I guess good credit wasn't enough.

Pity that Zero Stars isn't available.

Pity that Zero Stars isn't available.Tried to contact these folks at 13:00EST1. They do not answer the phone. The call goes to an automated attendant that tells you to stay on the line and then transfers you to dead air.2. The web site isn't any betterThese folks advertise "world class" customer service. In fact, there is no customer service.

July 2021 till current.

July 2021 till current.I took out a solar/home improvement loan from this fraudulent company under the recommendation of the solar company (Generation Solar out of Utah). Solar company did not complete the work but received full payment for their work which was only part of the loan. GoodLeap kept the balance of the loan and told me that it was points on the loan. Nothing in the loan documents or Federal loan disclosure statement indicates that there were any points or additional fees for the loan. The initial loan interest rate was 1.9 percent and in 18 months would go to 2.4 percent. In 18 months the interest rate went to 4 percent.Every one at GoodLeap is trained to lie to the customer and even the legal counsel Jay Laifman from Goodleap is a liar.I have continued to get GoodLeap to talk to me about the issues with no responses from anyone from the bottom to the top of the company. At this point I am pursuing these fraudulent facts with the state attorney generals office in my state, the Federal department of justice and the IRS.This company is a fraud and so is their solar contractor Generation Solar out of Utah. They should get 0 stars no even 1.

Good Leap is misleading

Good Leap is misleading. The person selling me Solar Panels sold them to me on the premise this would save me money. Just the opposite, I have already made 37 payments (over 3 years) and Good Leap is today demanding more money then originally stated (prior to my 37 payments). It feels like the “Hotel California” you can check in, but you can never leave.

I have been trying to speak to someone…

I have been trying to speak to someone for a month. Voicemails go unreturned emails go unreturned. I have called various departments to no avail. Even on LinkedIn they promise a call and never deliver. So I can’t get any resolve on an issue. So I removed the payment method and now there collections department can’t stop calling So they only care about getting paid but not providing service

Stay away this company is a scam co

Stay away this company is a scam, had a new HVAC system from Horizon and this is the company they finance thru. Interest rate is 13.49% they didn't require a payment for two months and bang you on interest. I have made 4 payments of more than required amount and none it went to balance only interest. They lied to me when I specifically asked if extra payment would go to balance, and they said it would. I called and got nothing but a runaround and said read your contract sorry but that is the way it is that payments go to interest that accrued for the 2 months before 1st payment was required, the interest is more the twice the amount of the loan. $1400.00 in payments and only $49.50 went to balance. I am going to be taking out personal loan to pay off balance to get away from these thieves. They lie and when you try and talk to someone they have nothing but BS company scripted answers.

Tricking a consumer

If you’ve ever been introduced to this Company for your solar/heat project, do not accept their offer or you will be scammed like me.I’ve been referred to Good Leap by the Tetra Campany which took my heat pump installation project. Tetra said they need a good leap to finance them until MassSave releases my rebate. When I received the rebate, I was directed by Good Leap to go to their website and transfer the rebate and I did that. Finally, they called me one month after I set up a payment via their website and told me a $1,000+ interest had been applied to my account. I explained what I did to their billing department representative over the phone and asked them to talk to a manager about how I could file a despite, but they replied no department or manager to accept my claim/dispute. This is how they trick consumers and play around with a government grant. First of all, I had no interest in taking any loans from Good Leap, but Tetra(the company that installed my heat pump) said they couldn’t start the project until I signed up for Good Leap. My recommendation is not to sign up for any loan with this good leap. If you have some project find other honest banks like Eastern bank who would tell you everything thing upfront before you enter any loan.

This is a predatory loan company

This is a predatory loan company. DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR HOME IMPROVEMENT. They constantly call you asking you to take on more debt and do not make it clear in their online portal what is your loan balance and how much interest you have been paying. I am planning to report them for investigation.

No payments went to principle

I took out a loan for $8,856.00 in April of 2024. The interest rate was 12.99% (is that legal?). Automatic payments from my bank account were set up to make the loan payments. Today I called to pay off the loan balance. Imagine my surprise to find out the payoff amount was $8950.30! Considerable higher that the loan amount. Seems all my payments went to interest - nothing to the principle. What a rip off!

I feel like I was deceived

I feel like I was deceived. i was under the impression there was 0% interest for a year. that was not the case. part was on Capital heating and air conditioning. after i realized what happened i tried to get out and save $5,000.00 in interest. it turns out they got paid up front. when the time came, i paid the loan off. they charged me $50.00 for paperwork to remove the lien from my property. 4 months after paying off the loan. the loan was still on my credit report. then i started to research the lien on the property. on the final statement it states documentation would be sent when the lean was removed. i am still waiting. i tried calling and everything concerning liens has to be handled electronically.
