Can't see actual loan and progress. paid 4k on principle, can't see where it is or if got applied. his whole deal is a rip off. I never should have been so stupid. Should have gone with my gut. Was told would receive a 15-17K rebate to apply to loan to keep payment the same. Another lie. only a tax credit if you owe taxes. Not able to apply to loan to keep payment at initial amount. Lies from solar sales people. System doesn't produce as they said. I pay more for electricity now then ever before when you factor in loan payments. I won't live long enough make it pay for it self. by the time it's paid off will be worn out. what a joke.
Going green only works if it saves you money. We went solar, and it costs us more than 50% extra each month on our energy bill because Oncor in East Texas has delivery charges and due to extra fees when financing. I would have run away from solar knowing what I know now. Especially, stay away from GoodLeap. They make it sound like you will save money. You will not. They structure the loan to jump by 50% in around 18 months on the assumption that you will receive the solar credits by then. It is taking us about 7 years to get all the credits. I don't believe that we will ever even come close to breaking even. I will have to deal with this scam for another 22 years now.
Avoid. We financed emergency sewer repairs with them on the recommendation of the service provider, and their misleading and non-communicative practices cost us thousands in interest and fees. We finally got away from them with balance transfers. A borderline scam.
Federal Consumer complaint: 241031-16756253 SUBMITTED ON 10/31/2024 PRODUCT Company ignored the out of code and illegal improper install documents and could not provide proper permits showing the AC system permits. Company ignored the illegal and dangerous gas line. AKA illegal. Out of code. Not allowed by permits. Company also ignored my submissions showing illegally installed and out of codes violations. But at the same time they alleged to have approved reimbursement for the illegally installed put of code no permitted gas line. And totally ignored anything else submitted. That has cost me thousands or still needs properly installed. AKA legally. And properly. Company has since ignored all emails and all messages. And lied when they said they called me in response since my initial submission annotated at the top. Also ignoring their own employees emails to call me back. That I have records of as well. I have never been reimbursed whatsoever despite goodleaps federal complaint response of agreeing and approving a 3k reimbursement since November 18 2024
I went with Goodleap to finance an air conditioning unit from Cool Today early June 2024. Goodleap paid Cool today, and now I owe Goodleap. July I did a VA consolidation loan, and I paid off the loan with Goodleap, so now I owe them nothing. Six months go by, and I had problems with the air unit, so Cool today and I agreed to take out the unit and refund me 100% of my money. Cool today sent my refund to Goodleap on November 21st and I told Goodleap can you send me my refund and their response was I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks to get my refund and it's already been 12 days so now I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks more. I told them I paid you in full and the money you received belong to me and I need it now. I've never talked to so many incompetent employees and managers in company. Only one competent employee was Brady Cross he was more helpful than anybody.
Read carefullyDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Oh, they will be friendly and helpful as much as they can. as long as they get your money through interest. then when you call for a payoff amount and pay it that same day, they will still charge you interest and not document when you call in. resulting in a 43-dollar fee. Then as you go up the chain to tell them, they won't help you. They can help, but they won't. Two tiers up management level and they will waste their time and ours which will cost them more money instead of just wiping a 43-dollar interest charge that they failed to disclose during the call to find out the payoff amount. There are no two sides of the story here. Horrible customer service. I plead with you. FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO FINANCE THROUGH. DO NOT GIVE THEM A CENT OF YOUR MONEY. PLEASE.
I asked to move my due date for my bill, and spoke with a manager in billing, he said yes. He said there would be no incident, no extra fee, and no penalties doing so at all. They are trying to charge me 3 times the amount for November even though I was promised that I could have about a 2-3 week extension to pay my bill. They are also trying to charge me an extra $30 to put my account on auto-pay again, even though I never asked them to take me off autopay. I was never told I would be taken off nor was I told there would be a penalty fee for being taken off and being placed back on autopay via the phone call or confirmation email that I received when I asked for my extension. I asked for the extension due to a work injury was on disability and could not make any money. Disability would not kick in until way later which is why I asked for an extension.
Steer clear of this company!We took out a loan on August 23 to purchase our new air conditioner and requested a full payoff amount on August 30. We sent a payment in full on the same day, but Good Leap did not post the payment until September 16. Now, I have received numerous phone calls and an invoice saying that I owe $64.71 and that we're in default of the loan. I called them on October 21, and the agent proceeded to tell me that if I didn't make the payment right then over the phone, my interest would continue to accrue. I made the payment, which was now $64.92, only to receive a phone call the following day and today stating that we still owe the $64.92.I called and escalated my concern to the escalation department, and the gentleman said not to worry, your loan is paid in full and that they would send me a letter in 60 to 90 days. My experience has been deplorable, and I refuse to recommend them to anyone. They seem unethical, and their internal practices cost customers more because of their lack of efficiency.I requested a refund of the $64.92; however, I was told not to worry, ma'am, your loan is paid in full, and we will send you a letter in 60 to 90 days. No refund for their poor business practices. Not to mention, the call center is not even located in the US. I am frustrated beyond belief!
One year same as cash loan. paid it off in 9 months and they still want to charge me. There accounts take three weeks to update a payment and like other people have said they will report the loan to the credit bureau but never fallow up with updates. avoid this company.
