This company should be ashamed of themselves for recommending a predatory financing company like GoodLeap. They are nothing but crooks.

Last summer (2025) was extremely hot. When my air conditioning unit failed, the heat became unbearable. As any mother would, I made a sacrifice for my children without hesitation. Best Care Plumbing, Heating & Air advised me to use GoodLeap for financing. At the time, I trusted their recommendation.

I was not properly informed about what I was signing up for. I am a single mother of two, dealing with 100+ degree temperatures, and I believed I was making a responsible decision to keep my children safe. The HVAC system cost $15,000, financed in May 2025.

At no point did the Best Care representative clearly explain the interest rate. I even recall asking about interest, assuming—like most lines of credit—there would be a promotional period. What I later discovered is that GoodLeap applied a hidden 12.99% interest charge on every dollar of the loan.

When I recently reviewed my GoodLeap online statement, I was completely heartbroken. Since July 2025, I have made every payment on time (they give two “free” months at the beginning). As of January 2026, only $15 has been applied to my principal balance.

GoodLeap is now attempting to collect over $34,000 on a $15,000 loan.

Now I understand why the Best Care representative was so eager to run my credit over the phone. Once GoodLeap paid them for the job, the burden and confusion were left entirely on me—the customer.

To be clear, the technicians who installed the HVAC system did an excellent job. This review is not about them. It is about the financing scheme and the lack of transparency.

GoodLeap is a predatory lender. If anyone from Best Care Plumbing, Heating & Air tries to push this financing on you, close the door. They took advantage of a mother’s love for her children during a vulnerable moment.

This is a terrible company and a total scam operation. Before making any decisions, please take the time to read the reviews on GoodLeap Financing. Had I known then what I know now, I would have never agreed to this financing. I hope my experience helps prevent another family from being taken advantage of. Situations like this are exactly why a class action lawsuit should be pursued to hold this company accountable for its predatory practices.

Review for GoodLeap / Solar Sales Experience Consultant: Lauren Morganstein I want to be clear from

Review for GoodLeap / Solar Sales Experience
Consultant: Lauren Morganstein

I want to be clear from the start: Lauren Morganstein was kind, patient, and very detail-oriented during her presentation. She took time to explain the system, answered my questions, and treated me with warmth and respect. We even shared laughs about festivals we’ve attended, and she genuinely came across as someone who cared. On a human level, my interaction with her felt real and sincere.

That said, I feel it’s important to share the full experience — especially for people who may be financially disadvantaged or under stress.

At the time of this presentation, I was in a very vulnerable place financially, worried about basic needs like being able to buy food for my family. In that state, I was presented with a solar lease that was framed as a way to save money and get relief from rising utility bills. The messaging made it feel like help — like something that would ease my burden.

Only after carefully reviewing the details did I realize that this was a 25-year lease with annual escalators, not ownership, and that the long-term cost and loss of flexibility could actually put someone like me at greater financial risk. The projected “savings” rely heavily on assumptions about future utility rate increases, while the solar payment itself increases every year regardless of personal circumstances.

What’s heartbreaking is that this type of model can easily feel supportive and reassuring to someone in desperation — not because the consultant is being unkind, but because the corporate structure and sales framing benefit from urgency and vulnerability. When you’re struggling, it’s hard to slow down and fully see how these agreements can lock you into decades-long obligations.

I don’t believe Lauren intentionally tried to harm me. In fact, she was professional and personable throughout. But I do believe this experience shows how large corporations can unintentionally take advantage of people who are already struggling, by presenting complex, long-term financial products as short-term relief.

I’m sharing this so others will:
• Ask more questions
• Take more time
• Get independent advice
• And understand the difference between feeling helped and being financially protected

Kindness in delivery does not always equal fairness in structure — and people deserve transparency, especially when they’re vulnerable.

Disappointed with the roofing loan experience.

I utilized a service for a roofing loan, but the roofers replaced my sheathing in the rain, which resulted in significant interior water damage. I quickly informed the company, but they still paid the roofer a few days later, diminishing my ability to negotiate repairs.

Daily Harassment from the Company After Overpayment

The company has relentlessly harassed me through mail, phone calls, and even sent individuals to my door after the loan taken out by my deceased relative has been fully paid. As the executor of the estate, I informed them it would take up to two months to access the funds for payment. In the meantime, they charged $6.75 per day in interest along with other hidden fees on a loan that was originally $19,000, for which my relative made 27 payments before passing. Despite a balance of $12,000, they demanded $22,000 due to interest and fees. I reached out to the BBB regarding this predatory behavior, but it was unhelpful. If I hadn’t paid the $22,000 by December 2025, they threatened to increase the amount to $24,000 in January 2026. To avoid complications with the inherited property, I felt forced to pay off this unreasonable debt. On December 13, 2025, a representative from the company showed up at my door again, claiming my deceased relative was delinquent on her bill, which is false as they were fully paid by December 1, 2025. I attempted to provide them with tracking information for the payment, but they refused to accept it. Despite my request for them to cease contact after payment, they continue to harass me daily, causing significant emotional distress. I have repeatedly notified them through various channels, yet they persist. I strongly advise against doing business with this company, as they appear to be predatory and uninterested in working with customers. They are not BBB accredited for a reason and are involved in multiple lawsuits. I urge anyone affected by this organization to report their actions to the appropriate authorities.

GoodLeap has been harassing me daily…

GoodLeap has been harassing me daily via mail, phone calls, and even sending people to my door after the loan taken out by my deceased mother has been more than paid in full. I’m the executor of her estate and let GoodLeap know it would take up to two months for me to access the estate funds and pay them in full. In the meantime they have been charging $6.75/ day interest plus other hidden fees on what was originally a $19,000 loan that my mother made 27 payments on before her death. Her balance was $12k yet due to the interest and fees they demanded $22,000. I contacted the BBB because this is absurd loan shark type deviousness. That was a waste of time. If I didn’t pay the $22,000, by December 2025, they were going to demand $24,000 in January 2026.Just to be done with these total scammers, I paid the outrageous $22,000 because they were trying to put a lien on the house that my mother left to me and is in the process of getting the mortgage assumption into my name. I didn’t want any obstacles so my hand was forced to pay off an absurd debt. Today, Saturday, December 13, 2025, a GoidLeap employee showed up to my door AGAIN with a letter from GoodLeap claiming that my deceased mother is delinquent on her bill. That is a lie. They have been paid in full since December 1st 2025. I called GoodLeap the day I sent the payment and attempted to give them the tracking information but they refused to take it. I requested for them to cease contact now that they have been paid, the check has been deposited by them. They continue to harass me daily. It is causing emotional distress at this point. I don’t know how many times I can put them on notice via phone, mail & email yet they still harass me. Do not do business with this company. They are loan sharks. They have no interest in working with you. They just want to fleece people for as much money as possible. They’re not BBB accredited for good reason. They’re involved in several lawsuits and I hope each person who has been abused by this criminal organization at least reports their illegal actions to the FTC and their state attorney general as I have been forced to do.

I had a solar company installed a system and goodleap financed the system. I was never notified about the app until 5 months later. I had referred my neighbor who then installed a system as well. Good leap has a refer program which compensate of $500 for the referral. I contacted corporate and spoke to a supervisor who then told me I did not qualify for the referral because I did not use the app for the referral. They loved that they were able to get more buisness from me and made alloy of money but will not give the credit where credit is due. I lost $500 dollars because they refused to help. That is not good buisness.

Horrible

Horrible. Please pay off the loan and get clearance. Do not deal with them. Horrible company with no professional timeline values. I had a option of not going through them, I will happily do that. But with new home have to have loan transfer, so stuck with them. Company needs to shut down ASAP, ESPECIALLY ASSUMPTION TEAM.

Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!

Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Financed an AC unit through NextGen (also a trash company), and they filed a lien on my house! Everything on the loan is, and allways has been, more than up to date. But, they still filed a lien and said “it’s in the contract”. Hate this company. Would recommend that you stay far away from them and any company that reccomends them!

Deceptive & Corrupt Organization

I called the company at the beginning of October and ask them if I pay a payment early will the auto pay take the money out there. Customer service rep said no however they took it out anyway. when I call back to ask them to move the payment to the next month they said they could not do it. It was an extra payment. The company is a cheating company. I wish I would’ve never went with them and I am a veteran, a retired veteran of the United States Army and if I can advise any veteran to not deal with Goodleap I would advise them not to do any business with them because they are very deceptive company and even though they record what is being said, you could never trust them because they will lie to you on the phone and they will go to the opposite way, so please all veterans of the serve of the military service. Do not do any business with good Leap!!!!!
