This is the most lying deceiving company I’ve ever dealt with!!!! Please! Go elsewhere for solar or any needs you may have!!! They should have option for 0 stars!!!! The amount of deceiving that goes on at this company is appalling!!!! I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t have a class action law suit SOON! I say soon because it will be started for me!!!
Used for solar install, payment just bumped +$100 per month because we “didn’t hit the target” of payments. Of course it was not presented or explained to us like that so the senior citizen takes the hit again! Also the solar company filed bankruptcy so no recourse if solar takes a dump!
Horrible company. Beware, do not get involved with this scam of a company. If you have been scammed by Goodleap, contact me ASAP as we have a class action lawsuit that we are getting ready to file.Do not think that just because they are responding to you and telling you that they are working on your claim that anything is being done. It is part of the game that they play as professional con men. My Goodleap client representative by the name of Savannah Rogerscomes across as a nice pleasant person trying to make you believe that something is being done. Well, she is nothing but a liar just like the company she works for. Once again, contact me and let’s make good lead pay for what they have done to us.
Stay FAR AWAY from this company. They came to our house, and we were already thinking of getting a tankless water heater and filtration all sounded good till they PUT A LIEN on our house! believe me this was not disclosed, or I would have closed the door on them.It doesn't stop there. when they came to work on the house the ruined our original hard wooden floors by making a hole in our Livingroom. This room is nowhere near the water tank! They also made another whole in the baseboard of one of our bedrooms. Their response was we fixed the hole, and you need to replace your baseboards anyways WOW!! Then they put piping all along the side of our house, none of that was disclosed as well. They made it seem like it was a nice easy job. of course, they didn't leave without trying to scare us that the piping under the house was all rusty and we needed to spend 30k to fix it. thank God I said no thank you! but funny how 30k came down to, I can do it for $1000.00 on the side if you get the material. Expensive lesson learned for not doing my research first! any future customs do not do it STAY AWAY!!!!!
We took out a loan for solar, shine Solar set up with GOODLEAP the loan was 7% with no payments for 12 months. No where in the fine print did I see that the interest rate went up and the first years interest was added to the original loan We original loan was for 53K we just paid them off at 59K they will not stop auto payments once it’s set up. The will deduct 2 payment in a month with 5 weeks and then try to tell you your payment on the following mo is late, and charge late fees! When it’s set up on auto payments you can not make principal payments as in add 300 a month to pay it down quicker. They can’t handle that. And most annoying 2-3 times a month they sent my a payment reminder!
Hidden fees and very misleading loan practices. Both the home contractor and the GoodLeap representative stated there would be no fees or interest if the loan was paid off before the due date, but GoodLeap still charged a fee for removing a grant of security interest. GoodLeap has vague language in the contract, with no mention of the amount of the fee, that they state allows them to collect it, despite what their sales representative said.
Goodleap is horrible to deal with. They will not accept billpay electronic payments, just by check and for some reason it takes forever to clear the check my credit union sends. I got a call stating my bill was past due. I sent it. They are like wait until a certain date and strangely enough it cleared my account that very day. I made larger than needed payments, it all goes to interest. They badger you about signing up for auto pay every time you call. I am getting a loan to pay them off and when I called for payoff, they wanted me to sign up for auto pay. They should be closed down.
Awful customer service company. They changed my due date from the 1st of July to June 29. Then after a month and a half to get them to correct it, instead of moving August 29 due date to September 1 like it should have been they moved it all the way up to August 1. This effectively added an entire months payment to my loan. I have made my monthly payments as the loan agreements have stipulated, however due to this issue they keep telling me that I am behind a payment and they are reporting to my credit report that I am over 30 days delinquent. Every time I call I am told that a complaint is going to be opened and that I will receive a call or email. Of course, I never receive any calls from them, except from the collections department. When I call back to check on the status of the complaint they tell me that the complaint was closed. They offer to open another complaint, and round and round we go. This last time, they gave me the name and phone number of my “case manager” named Patricia Pryor, and her phone number and cell number. I called the cell number yesterday and the lady that picked up never heard of Patricia Pryor. I am sure they gave me a fake number to get rid of me. I am super angry and at a loss for how to actually be taken seriously when I call. Usually the billing employee that I talk to has no problem seeing the issue, then when I get transferred to a manager, they tell me that I am off base and not understanding the situation. They offer to open a complaint and away we go. What do I do???
I’ve had the misfortune of dealing with GoodLeap customer service multiple times, and each experience has been incredibly frustrating. Unfortunately, not a single representative was remotely polite or helpful. Each time I tried to speak, I was interrupted or spoken over, making it nearly impossible to explain my issue. On top of that, whenever I attempted to assert myself to be heard, I was accused of "screaming"—which could not have been further from the truth. The lack of professionalism didn’t stop there. Their responses were consistently delayed, and despite making several payments, none of those were properly documented, causing unnecessary confusion and further delays.I’m extremely disappointed with how my concerns were handled, and the overall lack of accountability and respect from their customer service team. If you value timely, efficient, and respectful support, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
