Review Time
I posted on TrustPilot 6 days ago about no response to a complaint concerning an outstanding repair and safety issue. The reply posted on Trust pilot from Group 1 main office 2 days ago to the posting gave an assurance I would be contacted by Group 1 Chester. So far no reach out received and I’ve had to leave a message that I’m supposed to be getting a call from them ….is this a serious commercial concern?
Abdul Kabir friendly and approachable on my first visit even though I had not booked an appointment. He was happy to get the specific car I was interested out of compound, rather than show me a similar one and allowed me to test drive. I was fairly happy and certain I wanted to buy the car, but his great customer service made it so easy to buy it on this visit. I was very happy that Abdul looked after me.

Where to start. Found a great Golf I wanted to buy on Tuesday, so made an enquiry. Had a chat to the sales person who also sent me a video and explained someone else was interested in the car and coming to see it. I said ok, if they don't buy it call me, so he did next day. We chatted about the car so I got all the details and then agreed the price and a delivery cost and I said great I want to put down a deposit. I have a car to sell that I then clicked to put it in for auction. The sales person agreed to send me the paperwork and a link to a deposit, even checking with me that although I was putting my car into auction, I had the total cost to buy the car outright, but would prefer not to use my savings. Waited for the paperwork and link but nothing! Called back this morning to find out where the paperwork was, to be told the car had been sold!! WTF! Despite multiple calls to different people today, no-one is really interested as they have sold the car elsewhere. Now I have a car in auction, which will sell today and nothing to swap it for. Absolute muppets! Customer service zero I'm afraid. If I could give 0 stars I would!
My daughter bought a Land Rover Sport from group 1, Hall Road, Norwich within a week it broke down, took it back and called them straight away,apparently needs a new part they couldn’t get in now two months later still waiting, she is only 19 years old and now she asked to replace it with a more reliable car and was offered £2500 less than she paid for a faulty car ! absolute rip off merchants do not buy off them, appear professional but this is not the experience my daughter has received
Apparently they can't access their systems due to IT issues today so can't tell me if my car is ready to collect.No updates to whether they have even inspected or carried out any of the planned maintenance.I'm guessing the servicing department haven't a clue on what cars have come in today and what they have worked on in their workshop.Ridiculous - I will be taking my car to another dealership in the future and not Group 1.Had a similar experience with my BMW and again it was a Group 1 franchised dealership. Non existent customer service.
The overall salesperson and manager of the store very reassuring ,there's not many dealerships nowadays that you can seem to trust. Experienced salesman who have clearly been I the business along time, its a shame they are being sold made redundant
