Fantastic service start to finish, Max in Sales and Alan head of Audi Hatfield were fantastic and made this as seamless an experience as it could be. Max especially in person and via email whenever he contacted me he put my mind at ease especially as it was my first purchase here. Unfortunately, the after-care service, not so good, a lot of chasing needed from the customer end via email and phone, best to visit in person as others have said this is not always convenient.
I took my Jaguar EPace into the Rochford service Dept on 3rd Sep 25. The handling of my vehicle from 3 September 2025 to 12 November 2025 has been deeply unsatisfactory and has resulted in significant inconvenience, stress, and unnecessary personal expense.On 3 September 2025, I brought my vehicle into Group1Auto service department after calling the AA out four times due to the battery repeatedly going flat and the key failing to open the car. As I was travelling the following day, I purchased a new battery privately. Upon arrival, I was informed that the car required a Jaguar-authorised battery in order for Group1Auto to carry out any work, which I agreed to. I was then advised that the TCU required replacement.On 25th September 2025, I was told the vehicle was ready to collect. As I was on holiday, I attempted to collect the car on 6th October 2025, only to find that the vehicle could not be opened and the battery was again flat. I was then told the newly fitted TCU was faulty and that a replacement would be ordered.On 29 October, after the second TCU was fitted, I was informed that the fault still remained.On 4 November, I contacted the Service Manager, Mr Pedro, to express my concerns and request a complimentary courtesy vehicle, which I had already asked for on 30 October due to the length of time I had been without my car. He apologised and assured me that he would personally oversee my case, provide daily updates, and organise a courtesy vehicle urgently. Despite this promise, no update was provided the next day. Two days later, I received an update from a service assistant simply saying that the fault could not be identified.A courtesy vehicle—again promised by Mr Pedro—was never provided at any point, despite repeated assurances.On 8 November, after leaving multiple messages, I finally received a call from Mr Pedro who advised that the vehicle had a water leak and that repairs would cost £600+. I am at a loss to understand how this issue, which allegedly caused or contributed to electrical problems, was not identified during the nine weeks Group1Auto had possession of my vehicle. This further highlights the lack of competent diagnostics and oversight throughout the entire process.I finally received my vehicle back on 12 November 2025, still without ever receiving the courtesy car repeatedly promised to me.The service I have received has been wholly unacceptable. The stress caused, coupled with the financial burden of relying on public transport and lifts from relatives for over two months, is entirely unreasonable. I submitted an official complaint on 11 November 2025 and, as is consistent with the poor communication I have experienced throughout, received no response. I therefore escalated the complaint on 19 November 2025, and once again have received no written response.
From start to finish, my experience has been extremely poor. I’ve had to repeatedly chase by email with little to no meaningful response, and almost three months later, the issues with my vehicle are still unresolved. The lack of communication, ownership, and urgency has been incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend the Chester Jaguar Land Rover branch to anyone based on the service I have received
I have an Inchcape pension and have been asking for 10 weeks for a pension balance. I've had replies by email answering completely different questions to the ones I asked and have been told lies after lies. the incompetence is absolutely unbelievable. Good luck receiving your pension if you are or are planning to working for them, you will need it!!
Not a great experience at Norwich Skoda. 8 month old approved Skoda Superb was very keenly priced - but that's where the positives stop. Car was dirty inside and out on pick-up - "issues with valeters" was the excuse. After a few weeks a dangerously repaired tyre deflated rapidly when the plug fell out - AA recovery said it never should have passed a PDI. After getting Skoda UK involved the dealership reluctantly paid for a new tyre.Two weeks later - oil level checked before a trip to Spain after owning the car for a few weeks - barely touching the bottom of the dipstick. The oil obviously hadn't been checked prior to delivery. Dealer didn't reply to an email about this - complete radio silence. Car didn't use a drop of oil on its 3000 mile trip to Spain, either.
I purchased my latest car from Group 1 (A22)The car was prepped and and serviced with a very good standard. The staff were all easy to deal with and very helpful. I'd be very happy to do future business with them. This review written 2 months after my purchase.
Terrible company after they make the sale - make lots of promises and never see them through, lies after lies after lies - on top of that did I say 100% liars of the highest order - I would seriously tell anyone wanting to buy and Audi particulalrly at Hatfield to look at another brand and avoid any Group 1 dealership - they were the same in Hertford Mercedes - no interest in selling a car in fact it would have been two cars on the day I went in , maybe because I was dressed in old tracksuit bottoms and a hoodie - they look down their nose with absolute disdain - thats how to lose 80-100k in car sales.Avoid avoid avoid - you will thank me afterwards and sleep at night
