Please anyone reading this do not deal with this bank. They are completely predatory they were dishonest with us from the get-go and have done nothing but collect every extra penny from us if God forbid we are late on a payment. Terrible customer service just extremely awful experience.
No loyalty. Got sick for 3 weeks, called ahead that I didn't have the payment for that month. I was told no problem. 3 weeks later (only missing/delaying) one payment, I received notice from a law firm that they are proceeding with legal action. 3 weeks!! In addition the person who hung up on me was the manager.
Amendment: I was in contact with another associate that helped me out, understood the situation and was sympathetic to our situation. Also the manager reached out to help as well. And both agreed this was a learning situation for new employees. I called and spoke with representative about waiting for medical EI to come in and how can they help me on their end regarding my upcoming mortgage payment. The lady I spoke to said we could put it on end of term which I was good with and accepted the fee to do this. 4 days later she recanted what she said.
When no other bank institution would like to deal with me who had a finished consumer proposal history, Haventree bank was the only one that open their arms and accepted me as their client. 3 years after, our relationship is still going strong and I am very thankful for the staff that i had the privilege of dealing with regarding my home mortgage. Forever grateful for the assistance and guidance. More power to your bank. May you continue to give people like me hope for a better life.
