Any positive reviews for this bank do not understand what ethical treatment by a financial lender is.They are so far removed from any sort of value to the customer who pays their salary. They dishonour written legal contracts and face zero accountability by even their new admin. FernStay away, I don’t know how they ever became a Canadian bank.
I've been with Haventree through multiple renewals, I have recommended them in the past, but, I'm not sure I'll stay for much longer. I renewed with a ridiculous interest rate that tacked on an additional $900/month to my mortgage. I am a Nurse and single mom, have paid every payment, never used a deferral and have chosen to stay loyal over the last 4 years. Beware, the loyalty only goes one way, I am now at risk of not being able to afford to keep the roof over my childrens' heads. They DO NOT NEED to charge these astronomical amounts. Ultimately, it is my own fault for not shopping around, I wrongfully assumed loyalty had advantages.
