Review Time
Took out a new motability vehicle MG5 from Hawkins Motors Blackwater, was unhappy when I saw the car due to the amount of pitted rust on all the brake discs, I was treated like a complete fool when I complained. When I got home with the car I found there was a substantial amount rust on the rear sub frame as well as the front hubs, it turned out that the car was 2 years old from build date (was told this by an employee) I was told lies by the staff who were not helpful at all. I have since got another Motability vehicle from another dealer.
My wife has recently bought a second hand Kia Soul from the Hayle branch of Hawkins. We dealt with Adam ( a new salesman) and David, who was teaching Adam the ropes. 2 really nice guys, who went above and beyond to make the deal work. Nothing was too much trouble, no pressure sales, no problems. All went very well and we would happily recommend them.
Dreadful customer service. Arranged to a new headlight installed weeks ago. Had an email the day before to say do not have the part. Rude person on the phone and no offer of an alternative solution. Will not be returning and it’s a shame as I have used Hawkins in the past.
Got a new car from here that broke down after a few months, they have had the car for 5 and a half weeks now and still do not know what's wrong with it, was shown a photo of it with complete front end dismantled and was told they are working on it but not at the minute as they have other cars to fix as well, I would avoid this dealer I wish we had
I bought a two-year-old Hyundai i10 from the St Austell branch of Hawkins. There had been a windscreen repair previously carried out, but it didn’t appear to be a problem. Shortly after, I noticed that the repair had failed, and the chip in the screen had re-appeared. I contacted Tom at Hawkins, and he arranged for the screen repair company to correct the problem, which they did. Then eleven months after I had bought the car, I noticed that the repair had failed again. I rang Tom at St Austell, half expecting to be told that there was nothing more they could do. Tom rang me back a few minutes later to say that the windscreen company could not carry out a further repair, and that under the circumstances, Hawkins would supply and fit a new windscreen. This, together with the first MOT and service has now been done. I must also add, that during my visit to Hawkins for this work to be carried out, everyone in the branch was extremely friendly, and couldn’t have been more helpful. When things go wrong, the first impulse is perhaps to write a negative review. However, by the same token, such good service should also be recorded, as I for one, definitely appreciate the excellent and prompt service that I have received.
This is my second Kia . This time my wife and I purchased today - 22 June 2024 , a Kia Xceed First Edition ISG S , from Hawkins Motors Ltd , Hayle Inustrial Park , Marsh Lane , HAYLE , TR275JR . We are DELIGHTED ! Superb deal on our Kia part exchange , initial contact with the excellent Sales Executive Sharon Opie , Fabulous . Nothing at all was too much trouble . Faultless , in fact . We drove our new car home today - a dream car , loaded with gadgets ! Will take me an age to get to grips with them ….Sharon has offered to keep in touch by phone - lovely touch . We are totally confident that our relationship with Sharon , and Hawkins Motors will bloom ! We cannot recommend Kia , Sharon Opie , and Hawkins Motors enough . They certainly value their customers .
