The akttia watch is a great way of keeping track of your blood pressure at all times. I can see what affects it e.g. stress, foods,illness so can address this. The company are very supportive their customer service is excellent. When I needed help they responded straight away. I think these watches should be given to everyone over a certain age.
I hate dealing with old-school cuff monitors. Aktiia is completely different. It's elegant and comfortable to wear, and I don't have to stop what I'm doing to check my blood pressure, it just measures everything automatically.
The concept is great and the execution is improving. Fails to record if you are not sedentary for most of the day. Therefore always records when sleeping. Values are consistently higher than my Manual BP device. Algorithm should be better at detecting good opportunities to take readings. If you take the picture as a baseline then comparing readings to this gives a trend. App lacks ability to export results to carry out detailed analysis. Support is poor when device has issues. Mine just decided one day it no longer wanted to charge. Aktiia were unhelpful citing outside of warranty, but still they could have at least done some trouble shooting to ascertain the issue. It could simply have been the charging base and I would have happily paid for a replacement. But no. Looking foward to the release of the HUAWEI D2, I think this may prove to be a better investment than the one I made with Aktiia.
Avoid at all costs. This company is after your money. No customer service. Device is faulty over a month no response to emails. Checking their Instagram, many customers are the same. Excellent customer service but sadly it’s needed. When it works the device is excellent. I’ve had 3 over a 12 month period but if (and when) something goes wrong the email customer service will take some time to respond but after going through a few processes and submitting evidence a new device is sent
Had my Aktiia blood pressure monitor 1 month, and it decided to stop working yesterday. I noticed that it wasn't syncing with my phone, and when I went into devices, it was saying not connected. I tried connecting, but it wouldn't connect. I then thought the battery was dead so I put the bracelet on the charging cradle, no Red light was coming on so I left it a while. An hour or so passed and still no Red light. I don't go swimming and always take my bracelet off with my watch as that isn't waterproof either. So one month in and its not working anymore, £200 down the drain, no reply off support either so not a happy person.Joke this is, I've had a response from this review which you can all see, so I've added this last bit to original reiew I have left. What Aktiia have just said to me in the reply is their standard response. The problem most support never get back to you. Buyers beware....!!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
I have had my Aktiia since May this year and am very disappointed with the results. Only once over a few weeks did the app read the same as my Omron unit. It is always 30 to 40 units above the true reading by my Doctors Omron and my own Omron device. I have tried the initialise set up many many times but it always fails to calibrate. I am at the point I can not trust or unit anymore.
I was recommended this product by a doctor and ordered it. I was pleased with the product but it developed a fault after two and half months; the sensor starting coming away from the pod holding it, the result of this was I could no longer charge the device and it has effectively died.I have written several times to Aktiia and have received no response other than the initial automated response (ticket number created is 110393). To have a good product and not to back it up with excellent customer service is a terrible way to run a company.I would not recommend buying this product unless there is a step change in the customer services response to the many unhappy customers like myself.
