I was happy with this until now the wrist sensor has stopped working properly as the small disc is coming away I’ve tried emailing no response not happy for the amount paid for it and still under warranty only had it year after all most two weeks they finally replied to my emails and are replacing my faulty wrist sensor which I’m still waiting for
It has been a life saver for me. I have a smallish frame with big arms. 24 hour ambulatory bp cuffs would not fit me well..the cuff would slip down the narrow part of my arm. The automatic machines would scare me so much as they would keep pumping three times because it could not get a reading leaving me hand numb and fingers blue and then getting a high reading which I knew was not representative of my normal blood pressure. The whole ordeal of getting a proper reading average for the doctor over a period of many years became so stressful that my body had a conditioned response of an elevated blood pressure Everytime I attempted to get a reading, both myself and initially at the doctor's office. The readings were either white coat syndrome or it would tip towards masked syndrome. The elevated numbers would prompt doctors to want to increase medication, contrary to what I was feeling that I didn't think my blood pressure was high all the time, but just couldn't get the reading to prove it. My other specialist got two normal readings and could not justify an increase in dose. The aktiia bracelet is non invasive. I don't even remember that it's there. It feels like a wrist watch . For the first time in over 10 years I have good readings ..readings that feel more accurate ...readings that are consistent with how I feel, and the patterns I had observed with my body. For the first time I have a whole bunch of day and night readings that can now tell the true picture. To the creators of Aktiia...thank you so very very much !I whole heartedly endorse and recommend your device...it's worth every thing I paid for it. Thank you for sticking with this. I looked at several wrist watches that pump air to get these readings but the conditioned response would deter me from getting a true reading. The light technology paired with the calibration of once a month pumped air reading was the right process to anchor the operation of the bracelet.Thank you!DF
The act of measuring my blood pressure using a regular cuff device is enough to raise my result. Using the Aktiia device is so unobtrusive that it takes readings around the clock without me being aware and therefore provides a more realistic set of readings. It’s the type of device I’ve been wanting for many years and vey happy with its performance.
I have learned what this fantastic piece of wearable tech can do to help support me in better personal healthcare outcomes and management. The hardware and dashboards are very straight forward and very easy to set up.
Aktiia bracelet was delivered promptly, the setup is a breeze and using the bracelet is very easy. The bracelet design is sleek and overall elegant. On the negative side it should be reported more clearly that it’s not waterproof and users needs to be careful removing the bracelet when doing dishes or taking a shower. Overall 1 months in, I really appreciate its value as an empowering tool to monitor and manage BP.
