If I could give 0 stars I would. I wish I read more reviews before I chose to get insurance through this company, because Im starting to believe its not even an actually insurance company; its some kind of scam. I filed a claim on April 7, 2023, due to flooding in my business. I talked to a claims adjustor literally ONE TIME a week after I filed, and he literally ghosted me after that. He would not respond to any calls or emails, and after being told to contact his manager, and someone else who was covering for his manager, they didn't respond or contact me back either. This is not a customer complaining because someone didn't call me back the next day; it is now JUNE 7, 3 whole months after I filed the claim bc my business FLOODED, lost office furniture, equipment, and inventory due to the damages and I have made NO progress whatsoever with my claim! They won't even call me back! Who takes your money every month for 3 years then won't call you back when you need help..? sounds like SCAM to me!
I called to cancel my insurance in early February. I was assured that it would not renew. To my surprise, Hiscox renewed my policy and charged my card for an entire year premium. Now, they refuse to issue more than a 50% refunds. DISHONEST, UNETHICAL CROOKS.
Avoid this company!!!they took my bike wich was very secure with locks to a house and they just come with little excuses for not pay!now i have to spend more money to take this company to courts!!worts insurance ever
I would avoid this company like the plague. Insurance policy isn't an issue, although I've never had to claim, it's the lack of communication. Takes them days to reply to emails or communication about important amendments to policy and zero communication in the meantime. I've lost work because of their incompetence. How anyone can run a company like this is beyond me!
I called Hiscox last week to obtain a quote for my 2 businesses. After spending 35 minutes on the phone running through all the fine details the agent said he would need to refer this to the underwriter. He informed me he would email me with the aim of arranging a phone call to discuss the quote. There has been no contact from Hiscox and effectively wasted an hour of my time in total. Avoid this company, if the are this bad on the "sales" imagine how bad they are when it comes to claims.
after calling them three times, sending a message, asking them to send the liability insurance documents (and they saying they were going to send them to my e-mail address, they never did ) they only sent when I stayed on the phone and ask them to send them immediately for me to check if it really had been sent…
