No complaints

No idea why the rating is not that good They do great burgers and very tasty. They use rapeseed oil which is better than vegetable oil but no oil is great anyway for frying as oils like olive and avocado but these are just too expensive for dining out so no one uses these when frying outside your home I did ask about the oil but she said they use mixed oil so I did a search on AI to find out. Best burgers in town. I’ve been to Ramsey street food and he has a lot to learn still. He copied Honest burgers but no way as good. His homemade lemonade was horrible. Honest lemonade and mint is homemade and fab Good value for money Only thing I’d change is the decor. Some are very cold and like a school canteen

It's not the worst burger I've eaten but it certainly wasn't the best. The burger was dry and pretty tasteless, I can see why they give you the onion relish and cover it in cheese. The bacon was overcooked and the whole thing was really salty. Adding salted chips made it even worse. I won't be returning.

A rare treat for coeliac and/or vegan burger lovers

I'm coeliac and eating out can be a real nightmare. Honest are the only burger place I know of who are coeliac safe - most places, regardless of the cuisine, either flatly refuse to cater for allergies* or offer a bland disclaimer that they can't guarantee food will be safe to eat. I'm not vegan but many of my friends are so I always take notice of options, and Honest offer some great veggie/vegan choices. I've eaten at several London branches - Chiswick, Greenwich, Finsbury Park, King's Cross, South Kensington - some of them many times, and they've all been great. Staff are always friendly and attentive, food arrives quickly and is usually fantastic (once or twice it's been less than their usual standard, but still not bad), prices are about average for a burger in London and maybe a little lower than average when you factor in that fries are included and they offer deals on sides. The onion rings, buffalo wings, BBQ tenders, and halloumi fries are great, and staff are always happy to box up leftovers for you if you can't finish everything. The mint lemonade is so refreshing, either still or sparkling. The app, however, is terrible, don't waste your time. It doesn't log any loyalty scans, I should be almost up to a free burger now but it's only registered one order. *Coeliac is technically an autoimmune condition, but it's easiest to describe it as an allergy when ordering food.

We Love Honest Burger..

We Love Honest Burger... however went to the London Bridge branch & the fries didn't have the rosemary salt & were unbelievably dry. Why? HB have you changed your potatoes? How you cook it? The burgers as usual are fantastic But please if this shop is a one off go back to the great Rosemary fries you HB do. They gave us another lot but they were the same like dehydrated chips. You have to have good fries with a burger

The burgers "Rude, insulting, and condescending service at Honest Burgers Greenwich Honest Burgers G

The burgers at Honest Burgers Greenwich might be good, but the service is appalling. I politely asked about an unexplained service charge on my bill, and the staff member’s response was shocking: “If you can’t read, I can’t help you,” said with a smirk. She refused to listen, was rude, and made me feel looked down on. Disrespect like this ruins the whole experience. I will never return

Poor at best!

I went to the Spitalfields branch at lunchtime as Unity Diner (which is amazing!) was closed for a private function. We entered and the lady sat us on a table. The menus were half thrown on the table at us before she disappeared. The furniture was uncomfortable wooden chairs. We waited a while then had to call someone to take the order. We ordered a burger and chips each, a couple of sparkling waters (which arrived in an open flask and in glasses that shall we say, were "well used" and a beer. The beer was warm. I asked for it to be replaced only to be told the keg had been changed so thats why it was warm and I could swap it for a large cold can but it would cost more. I just said to leave it and remove it from the bill. The food arrived and was not hot. It was barely warm. It was bland and had not much taste. We were hungry so just ate it. I asked for some vinegar and the waitress went looking around all the tables and came back with a bottle that literally had the last few drops in it before it was empty.I went to the shared M/F bathroom which was extremely dark and felt dingy. It didnt feel very nice using a shared bathroom. When we asked for the bill, we had to ask for the warm beer to be removed from it as it was left on there. It was a lot of money (£15 each for the luke warm, bland burger and £1.75 each for sparkling tap water - not even in a bottle). The service was extremely poor and the food was even worse. It was just a really horrible experience which we shall definitely not be repeating! Thankfully, Unity Diner is usually open so we will definitely be going back there in future as it is a far superior experience.

Stone cold food with chips that were dry and rock hard, inedible. Uber Eats didn’t seem to think this was a problem and did not refund me. Absolutely disgusting. If Honest Burgers want to make it right, refund me order number #67d43 on the said date.

Paddington branch experience

Paddington branch: I only ordered a cheese burger with an extra patty and fries. It’s the worst burger I have ever had. They warn you on their website that having pink beef can be harmful to your health. So ordered my burger well done. It was burnt around the edges, then completely bright purple pink on them inside. I couldn’t eat it or the chips as they were drowning in oil. The bottom side of the bun was a as saturated in cheese oil. I’m never eating from there again.

Cardiff branch was not good

Food wasn’t great, the chips I got seemed like they were scraped from the bottom of the fryer. cleanliness was awful, floors were dirty, toilets were disgusting, toilet roll all over the floors, hand driers weren’t working, wouldn’t go back

I used to rave about these guys to my friends, best burgers, best chips … another order received of very average food prepared by an amateur. Stone cold, bun was old, burger meat seemed average and over cooked. I guess they don’t really care anymore, which is a shame, because isn’t that when things start to go wrong ?

  • It’s been over 10 years and we’d like to think we’re now pretty good at burgers and chips. It’s been a bit of a blur, a lot of hard work, but that’s been half the fun. Good enough just isn’t good enough here. We don’t mean to brag but we’re all about top quality beef, the best potatoes and good times. Don’t just take our word for it though, we’ll let our food and people do the talking. After all, we’re Just Being Honest…

From day one, we wanted to make the best British burgers on any menu, anywhere. So we spent time getting to know the best butchers in London.

    And we’re butchers too.

We’ve opened our own butchery so we can make the burgers we’d always dreamed of. Our way. From scratch.

Our beef comes from British native breed cows farmed in Great Britain & Northern Ireland. They’re grass-fed and well looked after with space to roam in the fields during spring, summer and autumn and only see a barn when it’s too cold outside during winter. We’ve also got our own butchery, making our burgers from scratch every single day. See more
