Review Time
I ordered on Sunday. Had an email on Tuesday to say they were on the way. Had an email to say they would be with me on Thursday. Finally arrived on Friday.I know they will blame Amazon but when you order an item from Amazon it arrives next day. So how come it took till Friday.Won’t be ordering again
Amazon spoilt my experience!I had to hunt for the parcel which had been left outside the back garden gate (not in use) and nowhere near the front door, luckily it wasn't raining. Good job I'm honest and didn't tell you they hadn't been delivered.I know I will enjoy drinking the different hot chocolates I ordered, I always do.
I visited Bury St Edmunds branch only to be told that Chocolate Pouches were no longer available in store and had to be purchased on line! Having made the trip into town especially to purchase over £60 worth of pouches and had no prior knowledge of the, what I assume is the new company policy, made me frustrated and very disappointed!!
I’ve bought a few things from them and they’ve been fine but I recently contacted them to ask if I could purchase a new whisk assembly for my velvetiser. I use it daily and it had just gone past its best, I’ve had it since Christmas 2023 so far from new. They asked for various details and sent one free of charge on next day delivery. I’m so impressed by the customer service after care
The chocolate is great as always. The issue is the courier company, Amazon Shipping. I’m frankly surprised that a company proud of its ethical values choose to work with a company that is frankly the exact opposite. If I knew it would be sent via them I wouldn’t have ordered. Not only their ethos, but the delivery is bad too. They left my package on the doorstep in the rain, didn’t even attempt to knock on the door and the first I knew it had been delivered was an email from Hotel Chocolat. Terrible service and very disappointing, I will seriously think twice about ordering again.
