While I have no complaint over the quality of the products or packaging and delivery my gripe is that we have a Hotel Chocolat shop/ cafe in the area, on visiting to make my purchases I found that the chocolates I wanted were seasonal and so not in stock and the bottle of alcohol isn’t available at the store, I had to return home and order on line and pay for delivery!
the velvetiser is very good. but making the fill level a different colour band around the whisk and also use a colour on the dial to make it easer to see where it is set would be perfect. Maybe ask people with poor eyesight or arthritis in there hands when doing product research.
I recently received choc drink which it was supposed to have been cancelled as out of stock .It then arrived and even though I requested it not be sent with customer services they still charged me £30 an sent it anyway. Not happy as not listening to me. I now have 8 boxes of chilli choc to drink.
NOT the fault of Hotel Chocolat but my husband has just watched a Royal Mail person fail to deliver my clearly-addressed package marked “fragile”to the wrong house over the road and then drop it over a fence. I have made my feelings clear to Royal Mail. Thank you for your sturdy packaging.
I ordered from HC , it’s the first time in a while Because who they use as couriers, so I was told to order by phone which I did, my order was sent to the post office, but Amazon didn’t leave the proper instructions so I could pick my order up, I’ve ordered Chocolate and Latte aswell as drinking Chocolate, so it came to over £60 but now it’s stuck in a post office, all because Amazon managed to mess it up again, even by getting it sent to the post-office, I can see they’re not popular so why do H C keep using them yet still charge what they use to charge for Royal Mail?Hotel Chocolat is a great company but I gave 1 star due to they’re couriers, and I still don’t have my items.
I attended a family chocolate adventure at the Talbot Green store today, with my grandson, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. We were warmly greeted with a glass of prosseco or orange juice and then made up our own chocuterie board, from a wide choice of different flavoured chocolates, fresh fruit, savoury treats and dipping chocolates. We were given a very knowledgable and interesting talk about how cacao is grown and the processes it goes through to become the chocolates we buy. We then sampled an iced chocolate drink before making (and eating) our own delicious ice cream sundae. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, professional and knowledgable about the products, which made a very enjoyable experience for both of us. Extremely good value for the money, with so much to eat and learn, and we were given a gift as well. We are now looking forward to their Halloween event, in October.
I visited Hotel Chocolate in Staines recently for a cake and flat white coffee, the coffee was served in a small glass a little bit bigger than a shot glass and the cake was tasty but again very small the price was around £8 . I’ll look elsewhere for a cup of coffee not a small glass that I finished in three drinks. I recommend you do the same.

Hotel Chocolat is a British chocolatier and a unique type of chocolate company that connects luxury chocolate making and retailing with cocoa growing – it is one of the world’s few chocolate makers to actually grow its own cocoa.
