Review Time
Started with an excellent consultant (Shireen) and culminated in a two truck move by an amazing team. The moving team were careful, and thorough and to top it all off a happy and friendly bunch who clearly enjoyed each others company. I would (and have) referred Kent to family and other friends, two of whom are using Kent for their moves.
Moved from Gold Coast to Townsville with Kent Removals. Would 100% use them again and have recommended to friends. They were very affordable and fast. A guy even.came to our house before we moved to itemise everything we were taking to help work out the cubic meters for quote. Super friendly team and certainly made the move really smooth A+++

DO NOT BOOK YOUR MOVE WITH KENT!I thought that paying extra for a reputable service would result in more care and better customer service. I was wrong. Kent charge me over $11,500 to move from Brisbane to Perth and damaged almost all my boxes and furniture.By far the worst removalists I have used with no care or common sense. They stacked clearly labeled fragile and light duty boxes underneath heavy boxes, took literal chucks out of my furniture, knocked off the backings of cabinets, scraped almost everything I own. Scraped the wall of my rental.Now they want to take all my damaged furniture from me, including an expensive scrabble set with the wood chipped off that I want to keep for sentimental reasons, in exchange for paying me the insurance that I paid for?! I have a full-time job and a child and I have already had to wait weeks/months to replace furniture I chose not to bring. I can't raise a child in an empty house and I don't have the time or money to immediately replace everything. My furniture has been in storage for 6 months, don't know of any problems except1. Only one guy turned up instead of two, nice fellow but he couldn't handle my couch so I had to help. Unreasonable at my age (77) 2. Contact - as with so many companies, they don't want it and calling was a waste of time. Total wait time was about 40 minutes; during which I had to suffer endless jabber about how wonderful Kent is...
We moved from Melbourne to UK in August 2023. We accepted quote for set volume but reduced it significantly. The man who packed did an awful job. He was very rude to us as well. We were then told that we would need to pay more money as we had a greater volume. We knew we had less than original quote. When the shipment arrived in UK I could see why the box volume was greater as the packing was terrible. Most boxes only 1/4 - 1/2 full and stuffed with flat wads of paper which should have been scrunched to provide protection. One large box contained just one key to my nan's China cabinet (it could have been stuck to it with tape). Nothing was packed together. There were things from bedrooms in with dinner settings. Dinner settings were not packed in sets. Terrible. If it had been packed properly it would have been reduced by half. I wrote to them after delivery regarding my disappointment and received NO REPLY. Would not recommend at all.
I've used Kent Removals twice now. Both time, fantastic service.First time was moving from Melbourne to Brisbane. Pretty stressful moving interstate as I've never done it before. Kent staff came to my house inventoried everything and gave fixed price. My goods were packed up with care and moved up to Brisbane to be stored with Kent for 3 months until I needed it. Redelivery process was even easier, arranged a day for delivery and they unpacked everything exactly where I wanted it.The second time I used Kent was moving houses in Brisbane. This time I used their hourly rate. Craig and Yasi should be commended as it was a very hot day. Glad I wasn't moving my stuff. Even on the hourly rate they didn't waste time. Again this move was stress free.Thanks Kent!
