They don't deliver on time

I ordered a advent calender in september and received it in late desember, way after advent (1-24th og Des). This way suppose to be a surprise to my girlfriend. Just totally and utterly NOT WORTH IT

Great quality products and fantastic communication

LOVED my advent calender from this store. I also ordered some extra bits which have all been lovely quality too. I would absolutely order from here again, and will be finding it hard to resist the sub boxes they offer...Communication from the owner has been really clear and thorough.

Studio Ghibli 24 day Advent Calender

I have buy the 24day Ghibli-Adventcalender. It had some shipping problems but the owner of the shop Raff always answerd really fast if I have some question. The shipping problems weren't his fault because some of the Iteams came from Japan. After I got the calender I was so excited and opened it. The stuff in the calender is amazing and i have only one word for my feelings: WOW! Very high quality, beautiful selfmade stuff and a lot of love is in the calender. I would recommend the calender to other Ghibli Fans!I'm excited to open the last three days and it is a perfect christmas gift!Greetings from Germany.Julia

Studio Ghibli Advent Calendar plus edit

Edit 22.12.2024: So I git a very nice and personal email from the companyowner/founder today, with a heartfelt excuse and explaining all his difficuties. (Like 1-man business, too many emails to cope with, extracosts, a lot of cancellations and that he almost had to shut down his business.) I have to say, this makes me feel very sorry/sad for him and I am gonna add two more stars to my review now, BUT: I am also a 1 woman business, with money problems and all that, but still I handle those kind of situations different. But as I always want to support small business owners like myself, I feel like giving 4 stars now is the appropriate thing to do. And the caledar ist absolutely dope, no doubt about that.This was a frustrating experinece, although the items in the calendar and the calendar itself is absolutely the best experience ever. But I strongly feel a massive disappointment how everything was handeled. The Advent Calendar arrived TODAY (21.12.2024) Useless to say, that a calendar that arrives 3 days prior to christmas is kind of a bad joke. Especially, when you perordered it in September for your child who is a huge Gibli fan. What I do miss here is the communication. I asked by the middle of November, when the calendar will arrive and was then informed, that due to a cyclone the calendar will arrive ane week later than expected. Yes, a cyclone somewhere in the delivery chane is nobodys fault. But I do not get informed, I have to run after this information, leaving me with nearly no chance to replace it? Yes, I was offered a cacellation of my order and to get my money back. But I thought: one week later - I can explain this to my son. In fact the calendar arrived today and I couldn´t get a hold of somebody on Kinda Kawaiis side - my emails asking about the calendar stayed unresponded. Yes I got a tracking number, that showed no movement for weeks and all I got was a roundmail with no solid information. Funnyly I ordered some Lotterie things from Kinda Kawaii, to fill the void for my son - they all arrived earlier than the calendar, and within 10 days, after I ordered them. So I feel kind of "outsmarted" here and I am not happy how this situatin was handeled by Kinda Kawaii. At the end the calendar costed me over 180 Euro, including the shipping and the additional taxes I ahd to pay for getting it to germany. And it arrived TODAY. That is disappointing, and yet no sorry or reply to my emails from last week. I am giving only 2 stars here - not because the calendar is not wonderful, it absolutely is the best thing for a Ghibly Fan. But if I would treat my customers that way, I would loose them. It is your responsibilty how to handle things that got wrong, not the clients responsibility. This whole story made my christmastime as a single mom to a worry-time, and I feel not treated well. And I say it again: Giving two stars for a wonderful, thoughtful and special calendar feels wrong, but it costed me a lot of nerves, money and worst of all: I had to cheer up a sad kid constantly. And no - receiving the calendar 3 days prior christmas even though it is wonderful, does not make up for the past 3 weeks :-(

Be patient, you will not be disappointed

I ordered the 24 days Ghibli Advent Calendar a while ago and it indeed came a little late on December, BUT:Firstly the calendar is absolutely amazing, best one I got so far, beautiful and qualitative.The items are so cute, innovative and useful. I love Ghibli merch and let me tell you this is beautiful.I know a lot of people were disappointed they received it late, and were also mean to the creator, and honestly it is not fair. We had communication and they apologised many many time and explained exactly why the calendars were late. Ok we waited and didn’t get it for the beginning of December, but fairly it is worth the wait, I am really happy I purchased it and will buy again from KindaKawaii!I hope we will have other wonderful things from this store!

Order for an item was made on the 17th…

Order for an item was made on the 17th of November for a Christmas Stocking. It was sold as being shipped with '48 hour Royal Mail Delivery'. It is now the 20th of December, and it isn't even in the correct country, and alternative gifts have had to be sourced because of this quite frankly disgusting delay. Zero communication (not even an email stating there would be a delay, and an option to cancel), and seeing the combative nature of the 'business' owner on here responding to these reviews, I can see it's not an isolated case, and zero responsibility will be taken from their end. Avoid this company like a plague, especially if you are trying get a gift for someone. And before you offer the same response claiming the 1 star reviews are 'picking on small businesses', if those small businesses aren't capable of meeting promises without communication, or at least ensuring Christmas themed gifts are with paying customers before Christmas, you're not fit for purpose. Next time update your paying customers, and treat them with basic respect.

The advent calendar arrived on the 20th…

The advent calendar arrived on the 20th of December, which now means it has been set aside for next year. Not a catastrophe by any means, but what is astounding to me is the completely unprofessional and very public handling of customer complaints by the shop owner. Every single one of us has had setbacks in their work-life that they weren't completely responsible for, because no man is an island etc pp. I empathize with how frustrating that can be. But what you don't do is point the finger to the next weakest link down the line and write drawn out emails about your emotional state to your customers. You own up, you apologize, you don't place the blame elsewhere even if it might make you grind your teeth. The replies to rightful customer complaints here also read like the tantrums of the five year olds I work with. I'm sure I have one of my own coming for this review.

The advent calendar is a 12/10

The advent calendar is a 12/10. The calendar and the items have such a great quality. I am very happy. Also the support from Raff was so good. I could ask anything and he even looked things up for me. I would definitely buy again and recommend the owner, the shop and the products! 🫶🏻

Ok, the calendar was a little late, and that can understandably be frustrating. But, when this thing showed up, it was well worth the wait. I understand now that they were not lying when they said there were delays due to quality and such. Every single item is top quality, beautiful craftsmanship on every one I’ve opened so far. With the quality I received, I would do this again and again even if it was late.

My first Experience at KindaKawaii

It was my first time buying something from this shop. At first i chose the Sanrio calendar and ordered one but as soon as i tool my order i saw the ghibli version. I quickly asked if we could change my order and got an immediate reply and my order was changed. Despite some difficulties with the shipment due to problems, i received my calendar in absolut stunning condition. Here and there may be some issues with some gifts but these are so minimal that they don’t matter. The Quality of the gifts is amazing and absolutely worth the price. I had so much fun opening it and i would absolutely order again at this shop. Surely the few minimal issues and the shipping problems cost a star for this review but these are absolute normal issues which can happen and don’t affect the whole experience and product.
