I absolutely recommend this service for me and my husband it has been amazing. My husband was referred to the hospital via Livi on a 2 week referral for after he was suffering from a water infection. It turned out he had kidney cancer and the tumour was 8cm in diameter this has now been removed and he is absolutely fine but his own gp had told him it was just a water infection. These doctors are way more thorough than my own gp practice. I have found that this is not available to everyone for free as I have recommended it to colleagues and their gp practices are not signed up to the service. Another plus is you can usually get an appointment the same day and at a time to suit you.
I've used Livi in place of a physical doctors appointment twice now and both were very positive experiences. The App is simple to set up. A photo ID and selfie may be needed for validation, but the App talks you through how to do this, should it be required. The doctors I have been put in touch with were friendly, professional and had access to my medical records online. In both cases I have needed follow up "face to face" appointments - there are clearly things that video cannot do, for example where a physical exam or tests are required, but being able to refer the surgery telephone receptionist to my Livi call made the process of getting follow up appointments considerably smoother. The NHS is obviously under considerable pressure. It's our duty to help in any way we can, and making video appointments is a simple, effective way of doing this. I wouldn't hesitate to use it again in future. One minor criticism; it only works from 'phone or tablet. It would be great to also use it from a video conference enabled PC, but I appreciate that this would only be of interest to a subset of potential users.
I've used Livi a couple of times for video doctors appointments, since it's almost impossible to get an appointment at my own surgery, and I've been happy with the results. Obviously it's not as good as a 'face to face' consultation, but mostly the Livi doctors have been able to diagnose what's wrong with me, and prescribe some medication to overcome the issue. My only issue is that, if you elect to go on the stand by 'see a doctor as soon as possible' list, the waiting time can vary significantly from minute (e.g. from 17 minutes to 3 hours, then back to 2 hours, then 40 minutes, etc). Makes it hard to plan your day around that.
Very happy with this service. After a wait of a week for appointment with own surgery.Waited in queue, first thing in the morning seen within 20 mins.Professional and supportive doctor, proscribed medication. Advice follow up with own doctor. Did not feel I was a nuisance, treatment started and I have peace of mind. Thank you.
I decided to go on the wait for a space appointment (approx 45 mins) was kept informed where I was in the cue and sure enough after 45 mins got a video appointment with a friendly doctor who listened to my concerns viewed my problem advised me and arrange a prescription. Happy with the service I received.
I was advised to use Livi by my GP surgery, who were unable to offer me an appointment. Booking an appointment through the app was easy, but unfortunately nothing else was! My appointment was scheduled for 13:50, but after waiting over an hour I was sent a message saying that due to a ‘service gap’ no GP would be available until 16:00 and I would then have to be placed in a queue. I finally received a call at 17:10 but the GP cancelled the call within two minutes due to their connection being so poor. I then spent over 45 minutes on hold to Livi‘s helpline being told they‘re a ‘bit busy’ - so am I! Really poor service all round and this shouldn’t be promoted as an alternative to seeing your own GP.
