I too wish I had seen these reviews before placing my order. My experience has been the same as so many others - placed my order on a legitimate-looking website, and the money taken immediately, with a link to an order confirmation texted. And then...nothing. No order has arrived, there's been no update on its progress, and all attempts to contact the company have been fruitless. They simply ignore all emails, calls (diverted) or messages. I have written to cancel the order and request a refund (no response yet, of course). On the strength of others' experience too, it is plain that this company is either brazenly committing fraud, or is (at best) totally incompetent and does not care about its customers. Given that this experience is not unique, I have now raised a dispute with my credit card company to recover the money, and reported 'Loft Stilts' to Trading Standards. I will probably add the Police to that list if no satisfactory response is received from the company this week.UPDATE: The company emailed me this morning to inform me that, despite cancellation 5 days ago, the order was on its way, and that if I wanted to cancel the order I should refuse delivery and a refund would be "immediately processed". This seemed to be a pretty standard reply. In fairness, a van turned up at 2pm the same day and I duly sent them back. So, the 'good news' is that the company do exist, they have a product that is occasionally sent out (I saw the boxes in the van), and a human being must at some point have read one of my emails and understood it. Whether they now follow through on the refund remains to be seen; this will be updated if and when it happens.UPDATE #2: I have now been refunded the full amount, and in fairness, within a reasonable time (3 days) of being notified that it would happen, with a polite email too (I think the poor girl responding must get some practise at it). In summary, if you are prepared to risk the delays and almost total lack of communication, you will probably get your product, and they will probably refund you if it goes wrong (as it seems to, quite often). It was such a shame, however, that the experience was turned into a trauma simply by the nonsense of promising 'next day delivery' compounded by a failure to respond in any reasonable way; had they promised less and responded better, they would probably have had the sale. As it stands, I still can't recommend dealing with the company - it's a very uncomfortable experience - but I suppose that if you are a gambler willing to take a chance for the minor savings, have a generally relaxed approach to life and loss (or simply enjoy the thrill of chasing your property/money), and you feel like rolling the dice, you'll (probably) be ok.
Like others have suggested, they don't appear to be scam but probably do have supply chain issues.But it doesn't excuse the fact they're still taking orders and taking money but not delivering anything. And promising next-day delivery. They're also not answering the phone. I'm waiting 2 weeks now with no information.Steer clear. Go elsewhere.
After reading all the previous trustpilot reviews I didn't hold out much hope.Ordered goods on Monday at 2pm and they arrived Friday 10am, so not quite 24 hour delivery as advertised, but they did arrived tracked via DHL.My advice would be if you know exactly what you need and don't need to return or deal with any customer service then buy, else look elsewhere. (I did attempt to call, email and IM loftstilts but had no response)
I bought a pack of 32 as a cheaper, and easier alternative to timber to build up my joists to extend my floored area after removal if an old water tank from the loft.I got the tracking number as promised and the delivery came via DHL when expected.The loft stilts are excellent. Easy to fit and the finished floor is solid. You wouldn't know any difference between them and timber.I'm really pleased I found this product and recommend it.The negative reviews here do not reflect my experience in August 2022.
Goods did arrive on time so two I've added one star. However, the company ignores all communication. I wanted to potentially cancel an order as my joists were not a standard size and I didn't know if the stilts would fit as its not clear on the web site . Two emails, 3 voice mails and several attempts to use the 'chat' service that states that they will respond "Immediately" all failed to illicit a response. I wont be bothering to use this company again if its not possible to get in contact in the event of an issue. As it happens the stilts didn't fit but I sold them to a friend who needed them as I couldn't get a refund.
AVOID AVOID AVOID. Ordered in mid-July 2022 and was excited to receive - their website is well designed and helpful, making everything seem legit. However -you'll notice there are no reviews on their website, and no links to social media where they would no doubt get slammed. I received a normal-looking Shopify order confirmation email. BUT ALAS: the promised shipping confirmation email never eventuated. Despite contacting the company repeatedly over the course of 2-3 weeks, I received only one rather spammy-looking auto-reply. I have had no genuine responses from this company despite them charging my credit card. DO NOT ORDER from this company. I am pursuing a refund via my bank. I am dubious as to whether the positive reviews on this site are from genuine customers.
