UPDATE:Still not resolved.Don't buy these blinds if you want privacy.We bought made to measure blinds for our bedroom. Even though they came out to measure and so could see the room and surrounding properties, they have installed blinds that have 2 modes: being seen from flats above us or from flats below us.Complaints get nowhere. There is zero customer service and they constantly wear you down with excuses.A dreadful company.
I have Luxaflex aluminium Venetian blinds in a few places in my house. After quite a few years a guest managed to break one of the bottom rail plastic cord-holders. I called Luxaflex (somewhere in the North) and a very helpful lady quickly identified the type of cord-holder and said she would mail a few to me. When I asked the price she insisted that payment for such a small spare part was not required. I received the package in Sussex via Royal Mail the next day!
I recently had a problem with a Luxaflex blind & really needed some advice & surport I rang and was instantly impressed by Kathy McGee professionalism & caring nature not to mention her knowledge & experience Thank you luxaflex for having the best customer service staff. Kathy highlighted what was needed to get the blind back to its best & organised a few small parts which arrived very quickly through the letter boxI highly recommend Luxaflex blinds & their amazing customer service
Received a damaged 50mm venetian blind (the central spool had "jumped out of" its mounting and at some point the frame around this spool has become bent) at least I can make sure this bulge is on the back side of the blind so not visible from the room. The dreadful fitting instructions contain no words to assist or contextualise the cartoon pictures and described parts and operations which do not seem to be valid for my particular model. The blind was chosen to colour match our kitchen, yet the bright metal brackets which hold the blind top rail to the window reveal are fully visible and therefore detract from the overall look of the product. It should be possible to provide a strip to attach to the blind top to hide these ugly fittings. This is a super expensive product and frankly a disappointment
I bought 10 expensive blinds from this company for two large bay windows about 9 years ago. They market themselves as selling premium high quality products. They were bought to protect from direct sunlight. About two years ago the blinds started detatching from the glue. One blind has completely disintegrated and two others are on the way to disintegrating. They no longer sell the exact fabric so replacing one blind won't work, the warranty has run out, they don't offer discounts and to replace the five blinds on one bay window will cost about £2,000. Also the plastic attachments to the blinds regularly break. All in all very disappointed with my experience of this company.
Having purchased Luxaflex roller blinds 12 years ago my decorator lost some brackets. The dealer was no longer in business so I called Luxaflex and the lady I spoke to was delightful and sent me replacement brackets free of charge and they arrived the next day. Unbeleavle Service. My blinds have re fitted and they look as as good as new.Thank you.
I can only comment on the awnings. Ok design and quality but very expensive for what they are. My biggest concern is that you can’t buy spares except through the dealers and there’s no transparency on rrp. We were quoted for the same part by two different shops and one wanted £180 and the other £280. We’re not happy with the cost of spares or dealings with luxaflex customer service so we will be getting rid of the awning and won’t buy anything from them in future. Whatever awning you get look into the cost of spares and how easily they can be sourced.
