I ordered a few things from this website,It was saying "delivery 4-7 days" ,The parcel arrived after more than 2 weeks!!!!I would not recommend this site at all.

Charges for membership without making it clear that very month they’ll charge you, whether you make

As with lots of other reviews, mine is the same. They automatically sign you up to membership without you really knowing about it until you realise that they’ve just charged you £8.99 each and every month until you finally twig and cancel. On their order form there is no specific box to tick to say you want to be a member or not, so they are making money from unsuspecting buyers. As for the person below who praised them with 5 stars saying she saved £500, well good for her, my purchase was £18 and now an additional £8.99 for doing so. I’ve bought lots of beauty products online and never once have I been automatically enrolled in a membership scheme without specifically receiving notice that they are going to do so. Very dodgy website making a quick buck. Stay away from them.

Purchased an item in January 2025

Purchased an item in January 2025,and then got charged an additional 8.99 for a membership I did not sign up for, I read my order confirmation and there was nothing indicating this fee, I have tried contacting them to request a refund, but you can only talk to a robot, avoid this company at all costs as if you have a problem you will not get any help.

Like many others

Like many others, we made a one-off purchase in November 2022 and it has only come to our attention now that we have a membership as our card expired and the payment was declined. I’ve seen the copy paste response from the company. Even if they followed the procedure stated in their response, it is not compliant with EU and UK consumer laws. Flawed concept and flawed process.

Should have read reviews first , been caught out with so called membership charges never seen anything like in my life , already emailed several time and been told no refunds , managed to cancel it £8.99 down , absolutely disgraceful.

Scam pricesChecking my online banking I noticed charges for 8.99 honestly can't remember ever ordering off the site but going by other comments been charged 3 months in a row tried contacting them only to be chatting to a bot there is no number to call to speak to anyone and email has been sent to try and resolve other comments seem to state it's clearly stated on their site however with so many people having the same complaint regarding the charges I would like to think they would at the very least take that feedback on board. I don't recall using the website to order something but I would absolutely not sign up to be paying 8.99 a month for a website unless I was intending to use it very frequently as I'm sure the other complaints would agree. I find it absolutely shocking that there is no contact number to call in order to chat to customer service to resolve any issues customers may have or a live chat.

Terrible company

Terrible company - sold me a fake perfume and am still waiting for a reply from customer service. Then the rip you off by charging you £8.99 for a months' subscription

I see there are tons of reviews of people who have experienced the same thing. I bought a product and was signed up to a membership scheme. The practice is totally a scam and the company are looking to scam their customers to make a quick buck. Looking to report them to the Ombudsman based on the scores of people in the review section here complaining about the same thing. I can only hope they are closed down soon before they can scam more people.And to whoever is reading this from the LuxPlus "customer service" team. I'll cut and paste you're pathetic boilerplate response below, just to save you the hassle, and to highlight that you're response to the your customers is meaningless and hollow and provides no justification for the way you conduct your illegal business."Dear X,Thanks for your message.You are a member of Luxplus and therefore the monthly membership fee of 8,99 GBP has been deducted from your account. You became a member when you chose to purchase products for our membership prices and accepted the terms and conditions of a membershipThe 14 first days of membership are free of charge, thereafter the membership will continue automatically for a fee of 8,99 GBP per month until you cancel it.It is stated in several places on Luxplus.co.uk that the membership prices are only for members and that one becomes a member when purchasing products for membership prices. It is stated for example on the starting page, next to every product, under the section “subscription” and “terms”. As a customer you actively have to choose whether you want to buy a product for membership price or normal price. Under the membership price we inform that you start a membership when you purchase a product for a membership price. A membership is also added to your shopping cart when you purchase products for membership prices for the first time. Furthermore, you have received a confirmation to your email with information about your membership when you placed your first order.I am sorry if you have not seen this and misunderstood our concept, but we do not issue refunds for membership, as we give ample information about the membership.Your membership at X has been cancelled and you will not be charged again.Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.Best regards"

Thought I'd give this business a try how wrong was I after waiting weeks for my delivery it was then left lost of stolen I don't know as I never received it so I contacted the company only to be given some blurred obscure photo and told there is nothing more they can do to helpDispite the fact as clearly stated in the SOGA, it is the retailer who is responsible for these goods until they have been safely delivered to the consumer and as such, it is the responsbility of luxplus to instigate any legal action as it is their goods that are missing.At one point I was even told to contact carrier I mean seriouslyThe lack of genuine lack desire to help and resolve the issue is apparentAnd the clear breach of contractual obligations just shows the level of unprofessional attitude that is taken at the CompanyI'm sure there will be excuses to follow but at no point have they wanted to helpI will be issuing a dispute /charge back and reporting this company to action fraud
