Avoid! All these reviews are true: they sign you up for a membership without telling you. I had to get another bank card because of these rats! Despite me cancelling the membership I never wanted in the first place, and them confirming it’s been cancelled, Lo and behold, they tried to charge me the next month as well. Avoid avoid avoidRatsScammersLE: even now, montjs after I made my first and only purchase, Luxplus is still trying to charge me. I just received yet another email saying the payment method needs to be updated, despite me CANCELLING MY MEMBERSHIP MONTHS AGO! The keep claiming it was error but there arr thousands of people and reviews on here that state otherwise, I am not changing my review and will seek further action against this scammy company.I know my rights, I did not sign up willingly to your membership. You did not make it obvious that a membership will be added to my purchase.
This company is making a fortune from gullible old people like me. I unfortunately got tied into there membership scam and have unknowingly been paying the fees for months until I realised what was happening, I got in touch with Luxplus who investigated and said they were going to refund some of the contributions I had me. That was two weeks ago and nothing has been refunded and other contact sinceI have realised it has been my mistake regarding the refund payment, Luxplus have did what they said and I have the refund and I thank them for that, so I have upped the rating to three stars for their customer support.But I still think they have an issue with the signing up for the membership, it is too easy to forget like I did.
Item arrived and was reasonably priced, however the website ties you into a monthly paid membership without clearly advising you that this is the case. I certainly didn't see it mentioned anywhere or would have bought from elsewhere so clearly not very well advertised, if at all. Never had this with any other website I've used. Definitely one to avoid unless they they become more transparent with their customers.
I was happy with the aftershave i bought from Luxplus after an easy online purchase but then i noticed another £8.99 was taken out of my bank account.After checking back on the Luxplus site, the cheeky sods automatically sign you up for a subscription membership. Talk about taking liberty’s. God knows how many don’t realise they have signed up to a monthly subscription.
They fooled me too. It's obviously profitable to scam customers this way. I filed a complaint (Adroit), maybe you should too? Actually, I think they play with certain words for example: Campaign prices and member prices are for members only. You will automatically become a member when buying at member price.So, we buy at campaign price and become a member, although it says in the text that we buy at member price?? Which way is it?
