Absolute joke of a company! I signed up for a tariff on the 20th of March but it wasn't suitable, so I immediately emailed customer service asking for a refund, which they accepted under the condition that I provided proof of payment.I have been back and forth with customer service, I have provided this information 3 times already and they continue to ask for the SAME INFORMATION, they send me generic templates and do not read my responses. Then they ignore my emails for weeks! They are continuing to take payments for 3 MONTHS after I asked for a refund and cancellation of my tariff. I will be calling my bank and issuing a chargeback because their customer service is so incompetent.AVOID THIS COMPANY.
Eduardo Gonçalves was excellent but he spoke too quickly when he was providing data. His interpersonal skills were excellent, his English was as well except for the speed at which he spoke. I do hope when I get my new LYca chip ad call to have it activated with my original number that I reach him, I enjoyed everything about my interaction when I was actually expecting to have a lot of trouble. He is a great asset to your team and I wish him well.
Scam! I have purchased sim with promised plan 20GB for 10 euro. When I top up for 10 euro for next month I have been charged for data usage and all my data have finished in half an hour. On customer servis told me, that I have to wait after I top up and dont use my data in order to activate a bundel. They were not very clear how long I have to wait. Then I have to purchase for additional 15 euro same service, because my discounted offer was not longer valid. I lost 10 euro for using internet half an hour. It is clear rip of. Also when you want to top up, you have to pay with card and the only way to pay is with condition, that you have to have set up automated payment from your card. Stay away from them!
The 3 stars are for the agent Dilma Lourenço that was patient and of great help, and my national experience with Lyca Portugal, but this SIM brand wouldn't be my choice of SIM card any more. My Lyca Mobile experience has been easy until it got weird. While travelling inside the EU from a country to a neighbouring country, my SIM card stopped working and with it my number. And to be able to access my phone number again the agent said that I have to buy another Portuguese number that I need to activate in PT before travelling, activate it by calling a number in PT for 2 minutes and give other confirmation things. Quite a weird process that I literarily clearly can not perform if the problem is happening outside of PT! SIM cards are not supposed to be out of service because one has travelled within the EU. Also, the transfer takes 1 to 48h and the agent said it is a trial and error process. By pure chance I had a spare Lyca SIM card that I brought with me from PT and that worked to the surprise of the agent. Now I am waiting for the transfer that might or might not happen.I am not even mentioning that the SIM card does not work outside the EU, like it shuts down completely. Spare yourself if you travel frequently.
I was charged double for the month of February on my plan and wanted to receive a refund for this. The customer support is terrible, so far I have exchanged more than 10 emails and called them 3x, sent them all the proof they requested (which should be available anyway to the agent in my account to see) Proof of payment, proof of subscription, etc. This is a joke. It would be a 10 euro refund but they could not process it after numerous contact. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone becasue customer support is awful and they charge you double for a simple monthly subscription.Update: still no news from Customer Support (21 May 2024), I guess I have to wave goodbye to 10 euros because of the lack of customer support.
