Review Time
Incorrectly charged £15.30 at the barrier (VAN) which should have been £4.30 as i was on a motorcycle!, but didn't realise until I got home and saw the payment on my banking app. I Contacted M6 Toll via their web site, no response after a day, then had to chase via Facebook. Eventually, 3rd Day someone finally responded and asked me to send the same details that I had already sent via their web site on the first day. I then (now 4th Day) got a smarmy message response via Facebook saying "As stated the time line to respond is 5 working days, we will respond as soon as possible"Customer service from the numpties employed by this non UK (Australian company), who operate and make profits from tolled highways in 6 countries of Europe and Latin America is shoddy and non customer centric. Is it any wonder that 86% of reviewers on Trustpilot give M6 Toll a rating of 1%. I will certainly use the M42 and A38 going forward and keep off this bit of Ozzie controlled tarmac.
I have no issue with the state of the road. I am just starting to wonder whether £10.30 for a car is worth it. It just keeps going up. Why in Britain are we incapable of developing good infrastructure that doesn’t rip people off? It’s now 38p per mile. No one wants to get stuck on the M6 in jams so the toll is a great solution but the prices..? I’d love to see how they come up with that pricing model. I use the M6 regularly to go to and from the Mids and up north. I know it needs maintaining. Wages need paying etc. But I can’t help feeling we’re being mugged off.
The reply from their customer service department was just as curt as their charges are expensive..... VERY!I followed the instructions as per their website, did eventually get my receipt, then 4 days later, I get a reply to my original email!As a very infrequent user if this toll road, naturally I was unsure how to go about getting a receipt. The reply they gave was as if THEY were doing ME a favor!Very poor customer service reply!
Mary Green called me when I didn't complete my new account online due to the initial cost to add a fleet of company vehicles. She offered a much cheaper solution and assisted me to complete the process when I couldn't add all of the vehicles online. Fantastic help for a small business that is trying to find a solution for the out of town team when traveling the country.
Grossly over inflated charges for using this - now over £10. Standard cut and paste replies do not help, nor does blaming third parties.I guess most people are thinking the same way as me as 90%+ (would be higher but quite a few take it by mistake as signage misleading) take the m6 instead when i go that way which defeats the whole object of this road. You need to halve the cost then you would more than double its usage.
