I accidentally went onto the m6 toll while using my cars sat nav system was charged £8.10 and ended up further away from my destination. When I enquired about a refund I was told there was enough signage and I'm not going to get a refund so yeah 1 star is fair I would say.
No signs to say that the toll road was going to be closed at junction after main toll booth prior to journey or on the evening. Poor could have gone another route. Also who thinks it’s a good idea to shut both the M6 and Toll on the same night!
Seriously concerned apart from it being quite expensive anyway - a recent journey in my mini resulted in a charge of £16.80 !I luckily noticed on my bank statement and challenged - apparently a misclassification - so they reply a week later and say I’ll get my refund in 7 days so they have had 2 weeks with my money How many others does this happen to who don’t scrutinise their bank statements ! Outrageous and worried they’re probably making way more money overcharging people regularly as their response is so matter of fact. In an Oops you caught us out sorry we will refund you kind of way Take some lessons from the dartford toll I use that regularly and never had a single Mischarge …..This needs a much further investigation
