Ludicrously expensive

Went on the M6 toll road by accident with a Motorhome and promptly exited at the first junction- approx. 6 or 7 miles. I was charged £16.80 for this minuscule journey. I drive toll roads all over Europe and this is the most ludicrously expensive toll road anywhere!! Don’t use it.

Perfect for missing the traffic

I recently used the M6toll to dodge a traffic jam on the m6 on the way back from visiting family up north, and it saved me over 40 minutes! I hate sitting in traffic so it was perfect for me. I'd much rather be on the move than sat in a traffic jam. Well worth the money to save the time and get home sooner.

It's a bit of a deathtrap in winter with cars going at crazy speeds and slow old style gritters driving recklessly spraying grit at high levels like a cloud of stones damaging your cars paintwork. I will be avoiding this road in future as its a risky rip off.

£9.70 charge is unbelievable

£9.70 charge for a one way trip through the M6 toll road. Think about it....£9.70!!! This is an absolute disgrace. I have used this toll road for years, and didn't mind paying, but the jacked up prices is hard to swallow. Needless to say I won't be using the toll road again.

Shame on you!

Upon travelling from Cheshire to Bristol on Christmas Day, 25th of December 2024 i entered the corridor of the M6 and was happy to accept the charge for £9.70 which i paid for without reservation upon barriered entry. To my ABSOLUTE horror I then entered another Barriered system and paid another £9.70 followed by an additional £8.00 and a further £8.00 (bank statement has been sent to you separate to this review confirming the charges and the vehicle registration) (Non-Barriered) this is absolutely horrifying and has caused me so much stress and anxiety. This was ONE SINGLE JOURNEY to use the motorway and I have paid £35.40What an absolute scandal this is - Shocking to say the least, and i am an OAP!!I look forward to hearing from you ASAP.

I do this route regular and I've been…

I do this route regular and I've been caught out if I'm not paying attention. I have to think twice as it looks like I'm getting off to go on the M6 also posted M42. And straight for M6 toll. Signs will often say straight ahead for two different direction and then make a split. What really bugs me though is they couldn't just make a slip road or cut out so you can turn back. So I pay £9 odd to go 10 miles out of my way to get back to Walsall.Mean, that's what I think. Bit like £6 at the airport for a 30 second set down. Making it impossible to pull up anywhere else. That's when you know that government don't have our backs and it's all about profit at any cost, even if they have to confuse you a bit to do it.

So many poor reviews, not surprising

It’s rare to see a string of so many bad reviews, even on TrustPoilot. The standard ‘if you’re not happy with the response, please email’ is only making it worse. The remark that the terrible receipt system is a 3rd party company, is also not helpful. Saying sign up to Breeze when it’s a minimum £30 deposit and having to top up at £15 base is also very poor. This should not be a prepaid system. If auto pay car parks can manage to do it properly, then the M6 Toll can. Constant excuses and no real explanation. There might be work going on behind the scenes but it’s not quick enough or good enough. This taken from your website is surely a joke; “We develop smart transport solutions that exceed customer expectations”.The biggest issue is of course the very high prices. It’s out of hand. Don’t consider doing something about the cost, please simply provide a value for money service and reduce the tariff. You won’t, as it looks like you don’t listen to customers, or in any way have a customer focused business. No wonder users feel ripped off.

Receipt Woes M6 Toll

I am a field service engineer looking after medical x-ray equipment and like many other business users who have to travel past Birmingham I am quite often forced to use the Toll road to get to my destination hospitals in a reasonable time. It is bad enough having to suffer the constant price rises but now the receipt system makes me lose the will to live. For goodness sake M6 toll sort this system out at least so that we batch download the documents rather than re-enter all the details each time.
