Order items for next day delivery, £154 order left on my door stop when i live on a busy road, order was not there upon returning home this order was placed on 20th November 2025. I am still awaiting matalan to resolve this. The courier should not of left parcel unattended on a busy road.
Matalan ignore all emails sent via online account. Also filed a case with resolver they are also ignoring communication via them also. Over 3 months later and matalan are avoiding communication. Do not order online absolute nightmare!!!
Next step the ombudsmen !!

Have bought clothes for many year's from matalan but not anymore I returned item's 3 weeks ago and haven't received my refund so after contacting customer service I was told that as I don't have proof of postage that I wouldn't be getting any refund from them even though in the parcel I returned has my account number and name and address I'm disgusted in the way I was treated so it looks like I'm £18 short which is a lot of money.
Went into Matalan to purchase a suit prices were very reasonable unfortunately did not have my size so went online to order it there. Fortunately by ordering online you get a 25% off voucher so it reduced my purchase even more which was great. I paid for two day delivery so I can get my items as quick as possible. Unfortunately didn’t hear anything for four days so went into store to see what was happening. They had not received my items and told me to contact capital services which I did straight away. They apologised for the delay. Didn’t seem to know what had happened to the items but assured me that they would be there within another two days because they would re-order it to the store and refund the extra money I paid for the short delivery as a goodwill gesture so I was happy with that unfortunately four days later again still have not heard anything so contact a customer services again this time all they could offer me was a refund what a real shame I would use them again but only buy in store from now on the online experience was not pleasant
Easy to order nice duvet set for the money recommend collected at store easily only waited 5 minutes as it was quiet. The only thing I would say with Matalan stores is, if there’s a big queue it can be a long wait to collect so it would be nice to have a separate collection point at busier times otherwise fantastic service no complaints
Poor quality fabric. I guess you get you what you pay for. The dress was far too big so needed returning. The return portal wasn’t working so I asked for help. Still didn’t resolve my issue so I gave the dress to the charity shop instead. Don’t buy from here unless you’re really sure you will be happy with your purchase. The person I spoke to was not at all concerned that I couldn’t return my dress due to no scanning of labels available to me. She could not have cared less. Very poor customer service - may I suggest some training !
The shorter length trousers for Women are a welcome addition to the range and the quality and the variety of clothing is improving year on year. Staff at the Lancaster store are friendly and helpful at all times. I enjoy visiting that store just to browse and see what's new and rarely leave without a purchase.
Usually very good service from Matalan. I did have a problem with one of my orders that took 2 weeks to get refunded for. That is resolved now and further orders have been normal again. Love my new gym wear!
The item was delivered exactly as described and was well-packaged. Moreover, the online prices are significantly more affordable compared to shopping in physical stores, especially with the numerous discounts available. Additionally, the online platform provides a comprehensive view of their inventory, which might not be fully represented in their retail locations. However, I did notice that their clearance outlets offer items that aren’t available online.
I frequently shop at the store, but the items I was looking for weren't available in my size. When I inquired, I was advised to place an online order, which I did, opting for store pickup. Two pairs fit well, but one was significantly oversized. Upon reviewing the order details, I discovered I had to return the item by mail at my own cost, which was frustrating since the store is only 2 miles away. Therefore, for a pair of £12.50 jeans, I ended up paying £4 to return it.
