This bank's website forever down. You can go to online page but once you login , the circle just forever rolls. I have tried to login during the pass months. If you got to "Is it down right now?" website to verify the Maybank.MY link, it will show it's down and unable to access. The joke is it still claims it's the great bank...
We tried using the MAE app to transfer funds and it seems there's some technical problems...an error popped up and advised to try again later..we needed assistance ASAP as we had to pay the balance for our car in order to collect the car. So we had no choice but to head into a Maybank branch...they've asked us to use the MAE app. which we have had..we have even tried using their website. Same error message... apparently,there's issues where some MAE services are temporarily not available...so one of them is the " secure 2 u". The officer in MAYBANK branch confirmed it's MAE issue..What saddened us was, the staff knew its MAE app issues and yet they still charged us RM5 for the RENTAS service for the fund transfer.We felt this is very unfair as We are all valued customers and in such scenarios, Maybank should waived the fee as this is the bank's app issue.'It's not about the amount but the principle that matters to show how much the bank values us, their customers !!' Maybank fails to do so...
I got a mortgage from Maybank for a mortgage and need to register my Sg hp. I could not do that online as I had to call the hotline. I could not do it at the JB branch becos all they did was pass me a form to fill in. 7 days later, I got an email to fill in the same form and add extra documents. Maybank and the entire Malaysia banking system operates on a protectionist mind set ie a local bank for Malaysians only.
My Maybank account is in Bacolod, Philippines. I tried to make a withdrawal from my account at a Maybank in Manila and they could only tell me that there was a problem with my account. Now, I’m in the USA. Maybank in Bacolod says I have to travel to Bacolod to get a new card. Maybank Headquarters in Malaysia says they can’t help me. Banks in the USA can resolve issues like this over the phone. It’s ridiculous to think that I would have to travel all the way across the world to resolve an issue that is Maybank’s fuault just to make a withdrawal from my Maybank account.
too bad not even worth a star, the maybank in kajang department not even professional yet, just line up for the department in charge, and the person in charge ask me go line up online department settle, now the online department ask me go back to the first department I line up, ended up eating 1.5hours for line up only and doing nothing, pls train your staff have knowledge enough before serve customer
The bank runs a legit fraud. The interest on loan was overcharged. It took several phone calls and threat to complain to the authorities for them to refund only 80% of the overcharge. The bank statements do not have description of transactions - it is common to find "Debit Advice" as the transaction. If you want to know what that is Debit is for then you have to call them and wait for 30 min before someone attends to you. The regulator obviously is lax on such practices.
