Review Time
I have had to chase Medequip Dorset 4 times for a price for an emergency alarm for my 98 year Mother, but no-one ever gets back to me as they say they will. It seems as though they cannot be bothered with small private enquiries, instead they concentrate on large contracts with Councils etc. The Manager is forever in meetings and other staff seem woefully inadequate in answering customer enquiries. I was offered a 'basic' price by the last person I spoke to, but given he didn't take down my requirements, what was the point....I have now given up with this dreadful service, and am going elsewhere.
Crap service. My elderly Mother was due to have a toilet frame and bed frame delivered after being discharged from hospital. First time we waited they didn’t turn up, 2nd time they say they delivered the goods, but they were not delivered to my Mothers home as I was there waiting. This is the 3rd time now we have received a text to say it will be delivered today - BUT again it has not arrived. Useless company!
I called out-of-hours service because my bath lift stopped working. Out-of-hours service told me that they don't cover my area call the next morning the main line. So I did... and the lady told me it will be fixed in 7 working days. When I asked that should i stay dirty she told me "Maybe take a sponge bath". Thanks for NOT helping me. I am not using the bath lift because it is my hobby or I want to. Unfortunately, I need to, but 7 working days to fix it. I mean... come on!
Medequip connect run the alarm service for my 103 year old mother. Previously the company running this (set up 10 years ago by social services) was Careline but this was changed in April 2023 when a representative from medequip called at my mothers to install the new equipment and provide her with a new alarm pendant I was not informed this was being carried out. Previous company always kept me informed.On July 4th my mother had a fall she used her alarm.Responder called but at no time was I informed as should have been the case.Mother is terrified of going into hospital apparently told responder she was not hurt . She was lifted from the floor and put onto a sofa an ambulance was not called. Responder then left.I was told mother did not want an ambulance called out but when I questioned her she told me she could not remember. When her carer arrived 2 hours later an ambulance was immediately called as my mother was crying in pain.My mother had broken her hip and has had to have surgery.Cannot believe this company did not bother informing me that she had fallen as I would have insisted that the responder called for an ambulance and surely seeing how frail my mother is any fall in a person of that age should require an ambulance to be called. I complained to the company at the time and also social services. Do not accept this company to provide alarm services for your loved ones.
Absolutely awful company I received a letter asking to make appointment to service bath chair I made 3 appointment's they didn't come out for any when I rang about it they said they had tried ringing when I asked which number they had tried they admitted they didn't have a number for us at all and everyone I do ring they sound bored as though there not listening anyway terrible service
Absolutely awful service fitting equipment. A simple bedroom grab rail has been crudely fitted with ill measurements . The rail cannot serve its purpose as my husband cannot even put his hand on the rail properly because there is almost no gap between the window sill and the rail. I can’t even rate the service as a 1 as it’s completely inadequateSo not only have I got breeze block marks on a newly decorated bedroom wall , I’ve got crude fittings. So the whole lot is coming off! Why bother suppling the public with a service that clearly lacks integrity and uses unskilled fitters?
Have had to wait in four days in the last two weeks for two items. So far, one has been delivered. They didn't even put the other item out for delivery today. Did they call us? No. I called them - they told me a time, it was on its way, they said - I phoned them later when they never turned up. Apparently it wasn't on the van in the first place. Apparently, it takes two staff to fit it and only one was available. Why didn't they call us this morning to say it wasn't coming? Disorganised and pays insufficient attention to needs of customers.
Waited in all day to have a bath lift delivered and when it came there was no charger. They hadn't even bothered to check there was one in the box. So I know I have to wait in all day yet again for them to decide to graciously and kindly bring me the damn charger. If only this site would allow zero stars for some of these clowns and cowboys.
I wish so much that Nrs Healthcare had not taken over from youI always found your company to be very reliable and good to their wordNrs are just a total joke and probably only got the contract because of how awful they are. Read the reviews on trust pilot. Please please please Medequip find someone else coming back to the NHS. i’m not referring to just one incident it’s money you should read my review on trust pilot that will let you know you have to come back to the NHS. Good luck with your future endeavours
