Completely wiped a game i paid for, including gamepasses inside the game and all they did to support me was send me a login code that didnt work. Its like they used an AI bot to respond to me, and the AI didnt know how to work around the issue so they threw whatever they could at me and called it a day. So anyways ive lost 100 dollars worth of things and also 5 years of memories, Thanks Microsoft. For context: Microsoft somehow had two xbox accounts under one of my emails, merged them. And then tried to get me to login to the account with the game when that was completely wiped by them? Other people have had the same issues yet they claim its a thing that cannot happen.
I lost all of my account data. 10 years + of data and game achievements gone. Mainly used Microsoft to have an xbox account and to play Minecraft and Sea of Thieves. My account got compromised by a hacker and just like that when I got in contact with customer service they said I cant get that back. £500 worth of micro transactions and exclusive skins and cosmetics gone just like that not to mention 20k hrs + gone. Thank goodness I never had trust in OneDrive because if I would loose important files and data there that would be terrifying. Customer service, just encrypted my old compromised account and suspended the account from future use. I am absolutely furious and devastated that all of that is now gone. A company with so much services and billions of dollars… what a joke. I am seriously considering distancing myself from all microsoft products to the bare minimum after all of this.
I have had my Microsoft account for over 20 years. It was hacked, and despite me contacting Microsoft Support every few days, I received almost no communication or meaningful help. Instead of offering me a chance to prove my identity or recover my data, Microsoft decided to permanently suspend my account. This means I have lost decades of emails, files, and my digital history. I was given no way to back up my data, no option to appeal, and no explanation beyond “we can’t help you.”I am disgusted at how Microsoft treats long-time customers. To punish victims of hacking by erasing their accounts — without even allowing them to prove ownership — is outrageous.I will never trust Microsoft with my data again, and I strongly warn others to think carefully before relying on them for email, OneDrive, or any other critical services.
absolute disgrace and no time for paying home users only business users. my email account was hacked and microsoft was no help what so ever, the solution for them was to blame me for my hacked account and shut down all access, this in turn locked me out of microsoft 365 due to not being able login with the email address which they shut down. I can't contact them via phone as mircosoft redirect me to trouble shooting online, but the forms they make you fill out online are of no help to resolve my situation. So i cant use what I've paid for, and I can't cancel the subscription so still continue to take payment!!!
i find it unbelievable how bad microsoft services are.your company is worth 3.79 TRILLION usd as of right now. I'm sure you can afford to hire good developers to make a good service. it's not impossible to do. google online services are GREAT! How come microsoft is so dismally bad???First of all, the desktop or mobile apps only work if you allow them to be device admin apps, meaning that they will disable and change random functions and settings in my device. I can't even decide for my OWN device how long after inactivity it goes to sleep. microsoft forces 30 seconds. what an absolutely worthless function. I uninstalled all microsoft apps because of that. Am I being ridiculous for wanting to manage my own settings? I think not. that's a completely reasonable wish.now, because my dumb university decided to buy a microsoft subscription, I'm unfortunately forced to use microsoft. however since i do not have the apps, i have to use the online versions. They're horribly buggy and miss most of the functions. if multiple users are online and editing at once, microsoft servers are too slow to update the document regularly which causes issues with simultaneous changes. I never have this with google online services. Also, somehow the document layout isnt the exact same online as in the app? If i try to make a nice lay out document online, the other users in that document who use the app see it completly differently and it gets all messed up. why arent they the same? like a pdf. google manages to do it. it cant be that hard.also have i mentioned how few functions the online version has? i cannot crop my image to a circle. I cannot link a graph from excel into word. I cannot get notifications for my emails in outlook without the app. spam websites can even send notifictions. I cannot insert shapes in word or powerpoint. Like come on. give me a break.every time i am forced to use microsoft for some uni project, it takes unresonably long and leads to many frustrations and annoyances. there is absolutely no excuse for being THIS bad. I don't understand why people use it and why my university has to insist we do. how can my university waste so much money on such a shit program. they could invest in something actually USEFULabsolutely HATE microsoft. i wish them the worst. i hope they go bankrupt so universities can finally start using google or some other capable developer that doesnt butcher every project they attempt.
