Fantastic service from lovely Honor and Evie from the Altrincham branch Monkhouse. I came in the last hour of the day, with three of my children, one of them being on the spectrum, who was quite overwhelmed and needed me to co regulate. The girls took over right away seeing that I was occupied and sorted my 12 year old out with all that she needed, accommodating all her needs and requests. Very comfortable and welcoming to say the least!
The shop is brilliant, good location, very accessible and friendly helpful staff. They had everything I needed but they asked for my contact details before payment. I declined but they said that I couldn’t pay without giving my full name, email, home address and postcode. Apparently something was wrong with the tills and customers needed to open an account in order to pay for purchases. I said I didn’t want an account and asked that they confirm if they would delete my details and they said it was not up to them. I declined to share my details and one of the staff helped by using their own personal details to process my payment. Thank you!I refer to the below:🔒 General Legal Boundaries • Businesses can ask only for what’s necessary to process the payment and comply with regulations (e.g., anti-fraud or anti-money laundering laws). • They cannot legally demand extra personal details (like full ID, date of birth, or home address) unless it’s legally required (e.g., for very high-value transactions or age-restricted goods
Completely Disappointing Experience - Avoid Ordering!I’ve never been so frustrated with a school uniform order in my life. I ordered several items for my child from Eastbourne Academy’s uniform store, and the whole process has been a complete nightmare.First off, the size guide they provided was completely inaccurate. Even after factoring in a reasonable allowance for sizing, the clothes still didn’t fit. I’m honestly baffled by how poorly they manage this — especially for something as essential as a school uniform. Then, when I returned five items totaling over £100, I was shocked to only receive £12 back. That's beyond ridiculous! It feels like they’re intentionally trying to rip customers off. The return process is incredibly frustrating, and there’s no way to get in touch with anyone to resolve the issue. I’ve been trying to contact them for days, but there’s zero response. This entire experience has been a joke, and I will never order from them again. If you want a hassle-free shopping experience with proper sizing and fair returns, look elsewhere.
